About

Squawk turns your iPhone into a real walkie-talkie over the internet. Grab a channel code, share it, hold the big orange button — everyone on the channel hears you live. One speaker holds the floor at a time, exactly like a real radio net. REAL RADIO FEEL • Band-passed, gently overdriven voice — sounds like a handheld, not a phone call • Squelch tails, roger beeps and optional carrier hiss • Busy tone when the channel is taken; a 30-second cap keeps anyone from hogging the air • TX LOCK latches the transmitter open for hands-free talking TALK ACROSS LANGUAGES • Tell Squawk what language you speak; it travels with your transmissions • Listeners can force any transmission to be transcribed and translated into the language THEY choose — eight languages available • TEXT mode shows a live intercept transcript; VOICE mode has an interpreter speak the translation right on the channel, radio voice and all • Transcription and translation run on-device (translation requires iOS 18) SIMPLE AND PRIVATE • No accounts, no contacts access, no tracking — a channel code is all you share • Voice is relayed live over an encrypted connection and never stored • Keep listening in the background — transmissions play while you use other apps or lock the screen Channels are open to anyone who knows the code — like real radio. Choose a code that's hard to guess, or generate one with the dial.
