What is the point of this device?
You get a microphone stick that connects via Bluetooth to your phone and it requires a data connection for it to function. So why not make an app and use the microphone that every phone already has? Makes absolutely no sense.
Not Android supported
I bought the translator for my father to use when he needs it and I saw this on Amazon bc it said it supports IOS AND Android only to find here that the app only supports IPS. I’m returning it and getting my $55 back.
Good translator
I haven’t traveled with the translator yet, but in testing it seems to work very well. Pairing with an iPhone was simple and easy. The translations were clear to understand. My only complaint so far is that the app has to be open on the phone for the translator to work. I physically have to activate the app each time I use it. If you try to use something like your camera while using the translator it will deactivate the app and the translator will not work. So, this means having your phone in one hand and the translator in the other. Also, there are no instructions in the app for the photo translation. It appears to open your camera but I can’t figure out how to get it to translate foreign text.
