The official tests are 「宿泊分野特定技能1号評価試験」 and 「宿泊分野特定技能2号評価試験」, administered by the Lodging Industry Skills Testing Center (宿泊業技能試験センター). The Japanese requirement is JFT-Basic or JLPT N4 or higher. Lodging uses direct employment only; worker dispatch is not permitted. Lodging is covered by SSW No. 2; SSW No. 1 is generally limited to five years. Intake has not been suspended, but check current recruitment and residence-status conditions.
