Useful but Needs some improvement
The app version of the Post-Dispatch has some nifty features. I really like the extra photographs that accompany many articles. The font is easy to read, for the most part. Organization is idiosyncratic sometimes. Articles I’d expect to see in opinion, say, simply don’t appear, like the nationally sourced columnists. While the app version is easy enough to navigate, it lacks a comment feature. Readers must use the web browser version to do that. Also, the app contains too many ads for the price of the subscription.

There are a couple minor quibbles ( the Crop button, and the display size) but it is really solid other than that!

I’ve always been a huge cardinal fan and I live in Peoria Illinois. I always wanted to read about the cardinals in the St. Louis post dispatch. So I’m excited to try it for the 1st time!!!

Getting all sports scores and box scores 2 days after the event is
simply not at all good and very unprofessional. Do you realize people like and enjoy reading about their teams the Day/Morning after the Event???

I want STL news, but this app is not good
I am struggling to understand why this news app has been so bad for so long, especially because there are lots of examples of better ways to present a newspaper.

Good App for News
The STL Today app does an excellent job of delivering the news. The e-edition of the printed paper is a nice option for those who like the format. The paper itself continues to be well done, though it’s smaller than it used to be. Highly recommend the app version!

It’s good to have this available when either 1) the newspaper is late, or 2) when the newspaper isn’t delivered. Yes. It happens often enough.

It still seems unorganized. Remembering being told after the hack that things would get better, but I don’t see it. Sections are all over the place, repeated stories.
Mostly disappointed in sports. Might as well do away with it since I have to go elsewhere to find out what happened last night.

The e-edition is disappointingly hard to read
The app crashed when redirecting me to write a review, so I sought to leave this feedback… I am thankful to read reporting from our region and I loved that they offered a version that is typeset just like a physical newspaper. In fact it was a major selling point for me. This changed, however, e-edition app was rebranded a year or two ago. Now the app will return to the full screen after I zoom to make the text a comfortable size. This leads to a constant and infuriating battle with the app as I try to get the day’s news. Clicking on the article is a slight improvement, however the 3 text options also make it difficult to get the text to a comfortable size, constant insertion of ads make me love my place or result in an accidental touch. The software used to reformat the article struggles to place pull quotes, emphasize sub headed sections, and does not embed the photos where they should be.
If any devs are reading this- please fix the e-edition zoom issue! It is all that I really want from this app (to have an electronic newspaper!). This problem with that feature has been enough for me to consider cancelling my subscription.

Caution If You Already Subscribe To The Post-Dispatch
If you already get the on-line version of the Post-Dispatch. Downloading this app may end up costing you $25.99 a month. Check your Apple subscriptions after you download the app. I caught it 2 months ago after I downloaded the app.
Baseball Standings
Noticed recently that the e edition does not list the current days slated games and starting pitchers - rather it lists the prior days games, which is useless as those games have already been played.
I understand that the night games can no longer have the scores listed due to the print deadline but surely the next day’s games are known well in advance as are the vast majority of the starting pitchers prior to print deadline.
