Sailing today
Been with since the first issue. Great magazine. Customer service and marketing / loyalty to its long standing customers, very poor.
Would be a good idea to have a search facility for all magazines

Slow and not automated
I had really hoped that this would be a good way of me having less paper on the boat - alas, it is slow (even over a 50meg line), and the updates do not happen automatically, like some of the other mags that I get.
This does not detract from the quality of the mag itself, this is just a reflection on the app delivery mechanism.

Written by sailors for sailors
Articles are practical, in-depth, and for the sailing community - whether owner, crew, cruiser, racer, or dreamer. Very pleased with the purchase.
Sailing Today
I think that since the format of the magazine has changed it is not as good.
Easy Viewing
A good way to receive and carry your Sailing Today magazines around with you. Generally quite a stable programme now, although it has had it's moments in the past.
Terrible interface
Content is good, but they should dump the useless "Pocket Mag" engine... There is nothing good to say about it... No offline use, slow even on the fastest connection and crashes...
Love the magazine, not so keen on the app!
The best of the UK sailing magazines, despite the sometimes offhand humor of the editor. Not so impressed with the app though? Regularly needs a reboot when the download fails..
Fantastic Read
I've been reading Sailing Today for some time now and I'm always impressed by the range and usefulness of the articles. Keeps you up to speed with the boating world, new gear and new locations as well as helping improve your technical knowledge by many handy articles on "how to....".
A fantastic read for any sailor at any level - keep up the great work.

Will not open
This app does not function. It shows up on my bookstand, but will not open. How do I get my money back? I'm glad I only purchased one edition.
Utterly unuseable
Inhave to agree with other reviewers. Totally prehistoric in style and format, doesnt download properly and crashes. I woukdnt riskmsubscribing.
Fantastic
Absolutely brilliant. I love the magazine and reading it on my iPad and my iPhone at any time whether commuting or relaxing, a fantastic read and very clever use if multimedia advertising and gripping editorial. Definitely recommend
Crash
App won't open on ipad2, not sure why. Hope I can get refund
Too hard to read
I use my iPad to read a lot of eBooks, but this app does not allow to magnify the text that results in a clear image. What you get is blurred and pixilated. In this day and age this is just not acceptable. In short:- save yourself ยฃ2.00 and find something else.
Could be great with some changes
I feel rather bad not giving this 5 stars, the developers clearly have put a lot of work in to try and produce a slick interface. Unfortunately, the result does not work how I as a user find particularly comfortable. Here are my key gripes:
1. Every page is scanned as an image. This means it took so long to download an issue it would have been quicker to walk to a newsagent and have bought a copy.
2. The wait to download is made worse by the fact you cannot start reading until the issue is downloaded in full.
3. Another result of every page being scanned as an image is that all the text looks fuzzy.
4. The contents section was completely blank. Evidently a bug.
5. It is really hard to navigate through the magazine. There is no way to see how far through the magazine you are. You can only see the present page number, but not how many pages in total there are. Also as far as I can tell, there is no way to skip to a particular page number. There also seems to be no way to jump back to the front page other than to skip back through all the pages

Good content, annoying page turn effect
The magazine content is good, one of the better sailing magazines. There's an annoying page turn effect in the UI which you should have the ability to suppress. Would also be great if this app supported newsstand.
Great idea, but very hard to read
Fantastic to have this content available but really needs some work. On IPhone 4 the text is very blocky unless you zoom in a long way. I wonder if it supports the Retina screen correctly? If this could be sorted 5 stars.
Sailing Today
Downloaded, subscribed for discounted 13 issues but then there appeared to be no option to download current issue of the magazine. I assumed there was an issue so reinstalled but just the same. App saying I have 13 issues of credit with the only option to be able pay for current issue at full price. It is not until you try to pay for current issue that you get asked to pay or use a credit. Why on earth isn't that on the main screen?

Sailing today app
Good app, works well. Bit concerned about previous reviews, but no crashes or problems at all. Would be easier to read on an iPad obviously, but the format does it's best to facilitate reading on an iPhone. Worth the cash.
No longer crashes. Stable, no memory leaks.
My comments on the previous version were deleted as no longer relevant, and the good news is that this version is bug free and does not crash, although I had to buy it again when I noticed the new edition as I'd deleted it already.
All the pages viewable and a thoroughly good read.
All's good, recommended.

Happy
Updated 10/02/11
I had crashing issues to start with but very fast tech support helped until the issue was resolved.
I enjoy the mag so worth the effort. I would like to be able to use subscription to download back issues easily. (a use subscription button/option when previewing back issues would be good).
Otherwise happy
