Best app for organizing farm paperwork

I am extremely pleased with the customer service for this app! It has so many amazing features and the staff is available so quick to help you navigate all the options! Hands down it has been a game changer for me and my team to run my farm!

Game Changer for me

I started using StableSecretary earlier this year to help manage all the admin for my horses at home - vaccinations, coggins, health certs for travel, even what they eat.

This has been a game changer for me in terms of overall organization and efficiency. I used to have to dig around in a filing cabinet or on my desk or through old photos on my phone to find anything - now it is all in one place.

Great app

I use stable secretary and it is an awesome app it makes my life so much easier, I can track my horses food and how much hay to feed him also I ran into the owner and she is also very helpful and nice I highly recommend that you use stable secretary

Stopped working

For the first couple months it was great and I had all my info on there but for the last week i haven’t been able to open the app. I have lost all records that I made for those last months. Very frustrating and disappointing. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

Great App. Struggling to add Photos!

I just wanted to take a moment and say Thank You for development of such a quality product. The ever expanding data points are truly on point for our Thoroughbred operations and I look forward to many years ahead using the app and web versions. While the web version is a breeze to add photos, the app not so much. At this point the only complaint I have is the ability to quickly open the app during a Vet visit and take a picture of an x-ray or wound and upload it immediately. We don’t always have our iPads stall side, but inevitably there is a phone handy. While we can navigate to the website, I feel it would be much easier to open app icon click horse and upload or even take photo in the app under the designated horse. I apologize if I am understating the ease or missing the proper steps to complete this task, but I have tried 3 ways to Sunday with no luck. Anyway, keep up the great work and I look forward to future updates!!!

Game changer

Love this app! It is so easy to use and keep track of everything with very little glitches or issues! Useful in a small barn but a must in a big facility!

The best in the business.

This software has allowed our staff to save tons of time in the office. No more crusty binders full of notes, no more white board dates and “hope we remember” reminder texts about farrier, vet, and chiro appointments. Billing is a BREEZE with the professional plan, and the customer service is out of this world. Whenever a suggestion is made, the team at Stable Secretary works diligently to implement that into their next round of updates.

We’ve been using this app for a few years, and it just keeps getting better.

I REALLY want to like it, but needs some work

As a person who manages a large breeding and training farm I have hopes that this app will be a god send.... and it is on that brink...however it needs some work. The mobile version is far to limited and doesn’t show me the same information that the web version does. For example if I enter in a milk test recons, in the app it doesn’t show the same format (ph, calcium, type, etc.) that it does online. I also cannot add a new milk or other breeding related record with my phone, which with today’s technology age is crucial.

I also wish there was a way to set a default setting on each horse to be able to see all of the medical history without have to keep hitting the (next month) button. Some of my horses have been with me for years and this is incredibly time consuming to do. I just wish there was a button to “view all”.

I also would love an option to customize the reminders that show on the horses main page. Most of us plan our spring vaccinations months in advance. Also with traveling and competing around the country it would be helpful to be able to have the Reminders show up to 12 months out. This gives us time to see them daily and plan ahead accordingly.

Like I said I have looked at other apps for this and this one is the most promising, I just wish it had these few tweaks to truly make it the most efficient equine management app on that market!

Has potential but not optimised

Is well set up and detailed but hard to use effectively adding option feed doesn’t work on the app or the website. app only has options for America so no changing to other time regions or to Celsius. Hopefully improves as it would be very useful keeping track of a large amount of horses needs on a property.

So Happy! SO ORGANIZED!

The latest updates have been phenomenal! KEEP THEM COMING! (Please!)

I am a farm owner, and Hunter/Jumper professional. I have been using Stable Secretary for about 3 years now to manage my horses and farm. I think I can speak for quiet a few S.S. users when I say equestrian professionals don’t spend their days sitting behind a desk (and don’t really enjoy when we have to). Especially in our world today, thank you smartphones for enabling us in avoiding desk work by making pretty much everything available at our finger tips. Including answering emails and sending texts, placing orders, scheduling ..scrolling through social media.. all while sitting in the comfort of our saddle while we walk around cooling down a horse (we’ve all done it!) Being able to access more features and be able to do more through the S.S. app on my phone has made life so much easier!

For example! Email notification from vet with attachment (updated coggins). Save document to my phone. Print from my phone from my physical record. Then upload to Stable Secretary for my virtual records and safe keepings!

We agree that nowadays, most horse-people prefer to do EVERYTHING from the mobile app, and our focus is on getting the mobile app as complete as the online software quickly! (I personally like to enter a Ride or a Lesson immediately after doing it - cooling down is a great opportunity for that!) Poor communication

Doesn’t come right out and say we want you to sign up and we’re charging you after a 30 day trial. I wasted my time getting this app. Come right out and say we charge for this app or we charge a subscription fee to use this app. Deleting app now!

Great app!

I really like the app and they are always working on updates.

Biggest pro: i can pull up any single horse and information at any time on my phone

Biggest con: from the mobile app i can not run reports. The reports are great but those have to be run online

Overall i really like and appreciate the app and the developers openness to suggestions and feedback!

Love it!

We’re a therapeutic riding center with multiple people and vets taking care of our herd of mostly elderly and special needs horses. We love this app - we can track everyone’s health records, keep owners updated, and access past records in a second from the barn aisle. It’s truly the only way to go if you’re caring for multiple horses - life is so much easier than when we used pen and paper for this!

Game

First of all the game was ok. But then it said my 'free trial has run out',
Even when it said the game is free and no additional costs.
So I do not recommend this game unless you are willing to spend £60 + on a game that is very dull.

Great App but needs a bit of work

I manage a farm with 64 head of horses. We are always working with veterinarians and constantly providing treatments. I really like that I can pull my phone or tablet out of my pocket and simply type in treatments and vet visits in real time. This program has simplified my horse management program significantly. I am able to track all of my expenses & treatments with ease; accessing my files anywhere I have an internet connection. One complaint I have, is that when I attach a photo to a treatment, (i.e. The bill that corresponds with that treatment) I am unable to view that photo or file from the app. I am able to view uploads of files that have been uploaded under the Mange files & uploads area, but I would love to be able to see the file or photo added to the treatments. Great concept for the app, but could use a few tweaks. I am looking forward to seeing where this app goes in the future.
