With iPad Pro, screen cropped due to portrait mode
Using as a document camera is not possible on iPad as the display it mirrors is always in portrait mode, even if the iPad had been locked into landscape mode. The Apple camera app works fine. Switch to Stage Pro and the window changes to portrait mode, cropping the screen.
Awesome tool for remote work and learning!
This is the perfect tool for efficiently communicating with my remote teams. I use the Stage app to draw over my live camera feed. So much easier than taking a photo, uploading it, and having to explain it to my team mates. Simple to use and I can imagine some interesting use cases for teachers.
Great concept, very unreliable
Great concept, but very unreliable. Frequent crashes make it hard to use for anything other than small demonstrations. When it crashes everything you have done is lost. Lately I have been having problems with the pencil lagging significantly.
Very easy to use
I spent over $400 CDN for Final Cut Pro, have had it for 2 months now and haven’t been able to even create a title. Bought Stage Pro and was up and running in no time at all. I’ve been using it to create dynamic titles and segways into my Youtube videos and I am extremely happy with it. I’m running it on a 256GB iPad Pro 1st gen and make sure to close all other open programs. It hasn’t crashed on me yet and I am using it every day. I don’t often give apps 5 stars, but this one is warranted. Could use a few more colours or option to change colours with a colour wheel, but I like the neon sign effect and it goes well with my branding.

Trouble with airplay and air server
since the iPad iOS update to 14.0, I am not able to share my screen using stage pro. I can with all other apps, but not stage. So frustrating because this has been a life saver during remote teaching.
