Catalogue only

Would be great if you could link to your collection as it’s easier to upload photos of stamps on a phone.

Very hard to use

Doesn’t work on Firefox iOS browser. Their app makes you go through several pages to see your catalogue, and it is not intuitive.
Typical really bad app from SG.

Most useless app around

I am logged in but can’t buy anything. I want a New Zealand catalogue, but they have been sold out for years not printing anymore. So give me a digital version. Can’t find that and even if I could their app won’t let me buy it!

DELETED

Awful app

You sign in then you try to access something and it tells you to log in again. You log in again and nothing happens

Total waste of time

This is not in anyway convenient. Its a rip offfor something so bulky in size and slow with not even a search capability. Its not a practical replacement for the printed catalogues that cost just as much. Sg make no attempt to use the benefits that digital devices can off for users. Its clear SG is a corrupt and misleading company this app is another example. Every single time ive tried to use it away from home my purchased catalogue wasn’t on my device anymore and because its basically a huge pdf is costly to have to redownload every time i need it, using mobile data etc. zero use to anyone, better off downloading a pdf someone made from a normal catalogue or make your own.

Very detailed digital catalog of Great Britain

Stanley Gibbons digital catalogs are easy to access, bookmark, make texts notes as well as understand. Stanley Gibbons goes in-depth into every little contributing factor. So you can easily find your Stamps catalog number.
The Scott Catalog can only provide you with so much information, while Stanley Gibbons takes it to a whole other level.

How do I get in?

I’ve downloaded the app and it asks me to login but gives me no opportunity to create an account! Help!!

Great app.

Great app.

App crashes a lot!

Unable to open any of my purchased items, crashes app every time. Reinstalled but now the my purchases will not restore.
A massive step backwards !

Just an opportunity to sell their catalog

Very disappointing. unable to sample anything. Can just go on line and purchase all this anyway. Not sure Stanley Gibbons have really cottoned on. Prices Still high,
Even though not paying for a glossy expensive catalogue.

Good version 1.0

I bought the British Commonwealth and Empire (the old Part 1) many months ago.
This review will concentrate on the app rather than the catalogue contents per se.
The downloaded catalogue is a replica of the hard copy. Illustrations are clear and the text is just about legible as presented, but there's a very easy to use zoom function which should satisfy anyone.
Navigation is possible using any one of three methods, either by simply moving through the pages, or by moving through the pages on a banner at the bottom of the screen, or by scrolling through a list of individual countries in a further banner below that.
The complete catalogue remains a very expensive app, though I understand a very large chunk of the revenue goes to Apple, but it's still cheaper than the hard copy and an iPad is both much lighter and hugely less bulky than the paper catalogue.
However, the fact that it is simply a replica of the hard copy with no additional functionality is the major drawback of this app. I use my paper copy to catalogue my collection and I never make a purchase without first consulting it: to do otherwise would likely lead to duplicate purchases. With the app it's simply not possible to record my collection. In short, Stanley Gibbons need to introduce a checklist function to future editions. I won't buy any new editions until this feature is available.
