Poor quality output

It’s really not worth downloading, I’m afraid.

Best photo app ever seen

Completely free, almost the only long exposure photo app on iPhone, easy to use, no ads if WiFi off

Pretty good before I took the shot

When I was getting ready to capture an image, it looked great, but after I took the photo it looked all white and weird. I also couldn’t use zoom. Please fix these issues

Amazing!

Wow this app is really good i use it for all my star photos! 10/10

Help

Why when I take a photo with night sky mode, after adjusting the long exposure mode for 2 seconds or more, the picture is all white?
I have restarted the machine but still the same, other modes are still working normally
please fix the error

Fake

This app superimposes stars onto any picture in night mode.

Fake app

I took a picture of the night sky and saw a bunch of stars so I thought this was an amazing app. Then I read the reviews that said that the app overlays stars onto ANY dark image, so I faced the camera into the palm of my hand and what do ya know? There’s stars there too! Fooled me for about a day but now I see how fake it is. Better off getting a real long exposure camera.

Completely Fake

I literally took a picture of the darkness under my bed and stars appeared. Please do not believe the developers. It is fake.

It just overlays stars onto your image, total scam.

Cover your camera with your finger and take a look for yourself. Awful app, awful devs... just desperate for ad revenue.

It is great when it works

The inability to manually control exposure makes it to take photos of dim parts of the sky. 90% of the times it does not focus resulting in a horrible photo. However when it do works it takes good photos. I wish a update could come that allows you to adjust the lens position manually.

Bogus app

Used it and it’s totally a lie. Was adjusting exposure time etc to see Neowise and kept seeing these images of tons of stars but no comet. So, I aimed my camera at the dirt, and boy golly my dirt is also full of stars and has even more stars when I extend the exposure time! Yeah right lol.

Edit: The developer hilariously tried to make me sound unknowledgeable of how cameras work lol. I have several degrees in film and television production and use DSLR’s and other cameras frequently. I also downloaded another app from the App Store and got the proper results of a long exposure shot. What I saw from this app was not “noise”, it was a fabricated image. I even shone a light while taking a test image and it didn’t show up in frame.

Response from developer

Hi, GenghisKhanner! I'm sorry that you couldn't get great photos as you expect. Our product's features are focusing on "Long-exposure" which is not supported on iOS default camera app. So it's very sensitive and (as you might know) it can be affected the performance of device camera or background right. It is like "Pro-mode" of Galaxy phones of Samsung. For this reasons, if you aimed camera at dirt and you saw the stars, then it weren't stars but just noise of the camera shot. To reduce the noise, please control the exposure or ISO values. Thank you.

It’s the Best there is

This is kinda gonna sound like a fake review but this well works perfectly and you don’t have to get scammed into a $10 per month. It’s really easy to use and not confusing

Hi, "Game that dose not work" ! (You have a cool nickname!) Thank you for the precious review :) I hope you to get great photos with Star-Capture! Have a nice day and good luck !

Settings are easy and works for ceiling lights

Works if you get the settings right
Work in absolute darkness it colours the background not the actual stars they were purple on mine but compared to all the apps that were 4-5 star and people saying good this ACTUALLY works for ceiling stars and pretty sure does for real stars too

Response from developer

Thank you for your precious review, playerchickenn! We'll do our best for capturing great night photo ! :)

Almost the best low light app

This app is the most sensitive one I’ve ever used for astrophotography, which is great. Wish there were a manual (sliding) focus feature, since the camera has trouble focusing automatically on dim objects, which renders the touch-to-focus feature useless. Even a fixed focus to infinity would be better than autofocus. The developer is awesome and responsive.

Hi, QReciprocity42! Thank you for using StarCapture! As you said, StarCapture is sensitive because for the capturing on night-sight, very small light should be gathered for find object in the dark and to capture clearly. So please stabilized device (ex: Put your mobile device on table and capture) when you use the app :) And also, there is manual focusing feature. When you touch the screen where you focus on, it will be focused. Thank you! Have a nice day :)

Wonderful simple app

Thank you for developing this app.
I found it to be simple to use and it works very well. The only thing I would like to see in future version, if possible, is the capability to zoom.
Thanks again!

Response from developer

Simple and easy to use

Straight forward and clean app. Now I don't have to change settings and go thru the hassle on my camera app to capture night shots!
