User reviews

Dumb app. How hard can it be?

I’ve done it every which way. It successfully measures my 0-60 once. Now it says it will but just never does anything useful. Not enough user interface to even try do anything different. The developer is not good at developing

Response from developer

Sorry STAR let you down! That's frustrating, especially when the first run worked. This usually happens when a rolling-start measurement stays armed: it only triggers once the car is first at or below the starting speed, and a weak GPS signal can delay detection. Version 2.0 reworked the whole measurement system and UI. I'd genuinely appreciate it if you gave STAR another try! If it still misbehaves, email me at hi@sunnyside.dev and I'll figure out what's going wrong.

I wanted to love it

I love how you can add the speeds that you want to test but there isn’t a start stop button.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback! I agree the UI around starting measurements was confusing. However, it's now fixed! STAR 2.0 improved the user experience around measurements a lot and should make the difference between manual and rolling-start measurements a lot clearer. If you're still using STAR, I'd love to hear whether the new flow works for you! Feel free to send an email to hi@sunnyside.dev if you still experience any issues.

Glitches

Heavy glitches that made the app unusable even thought it looked good.

Response from developer

Sorry about that experience! A lot has changed since 2023, including the measurement engine and the entire interface. The stability issues from back then are gone. I'd be happy if you gave STAR another try and hear how it goes: hi@sunnyside.dev.
