Star Speller is fun and effective
Star Speller's simple and intuitive interface sets it apart from the rest. The lively voice prompts keep my kids engaged without coming across as condescending. Unlike many of the other spelling apps available Star Speller is not slowed down with a bunch of annoying steps and useless commands. Kids are able to jump right in and get to work on the fun and effective spelling drills.
I really like the fact that the word lists are compiled by teachers and actually used in schools. And, with 30 different levels both my kindergartener and 2nd grader can work at their own pace with plenty of room to grow and improve without getting bored.
The voice commands are clear fun with awesome encouragements a like, "I smell a genius!".
The bottom line - my kids use this app and their spelling has improved!

Great app!!
This is a great app my kids absolutely love it I catch them spending hours using it I have three kids and even my 10-year-old likes it.
Great Game!
My second grader really enjoyed playing this game - I was surprised how much he was into it! While the initial levels were a bit easy for him, the later levels were just about right. I didn't think a spelling game would be something he would spend so much time with! Definitely recommend.
Star Speller is easy to use and effective!
Star Speller is a really effective spelling app because of the way it teaches and tests the kids. The visuals, menu, buttons, are laid simply and intuitively so the user concentrates purely on the learning instead of figuring out how to use the app. It also provides voice over instructions every step of the way to further help its users. The narrator’s voice is clear and well-enunciated which is a big plus!
Star Speller is a very effective learning and game app that will help your kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders to improve their spelling. The app features teacher-developed content that will help children progress while at school or at home.

This app promotes confidence!
My 1st grader was having trouble with confidence in his spelling. We used this app all weekend and he's already more confident about his spelling skills. The app is easy to use and fun. He's picking up my phone and initiating playing the spelling and reading games on his own and he's got a big smile when the app says "you rock"!
I recommend this app to anyone that wants their youngster to be a better speller and reader.

Star Speller is a great way to have your younger children learn important words. Easily worth the .99 cents to pick this up.
My daughter love Star Speller and uses everyday!
My daughter is just started Kindergarten in a couple months ago. She knows alphabet, but she doesn't know how to read a word. Now she is getting to recognize a word.
She uses Star Speller everyday and I see her improvement how she learned phonics and spelling.
Thank you so much! I totally recommend this awesome app!

Super for my 4th grader, too!
My son is not a strong speller, so I was very excited to hear about this app! The "easy lists" gave him confidence, and the harder ones are giving him real practice. The timing aspect keeps him focused. I like that the spelling practice doesn't force him to choose from a whole keyboard- that would be daunting. He reads along with the narration, trying to read the word before the narrator does. And thanks, btw for a narrator that is not annoying!!
