New Version Is Worse
I used to like Star Walk, even with the super annoying “music”. The new version doesn’t even work - it does not respond to phone movements, so you have to move the screen around with finger gestures.
The addition of ads completely ruins it. Delete.

Bug
When I click on an object it doesn’t let me exit the object so now I have to completely reload the app to click on another object I don’t know if it’s just in iPad problem but it doesn’t work
Free version is awful
If I can get the app to run it seems very good, but I click something and I get a 15 second ad. I return to the main screen zoom in on a star and get a 15 second ad. I want to give this app a try but when I can’t even fully test drive it why would I want to pay for it.
Years
Have had it for years when it first came out and use it regularly. Love it.
Not used much, but…
I don’t use it as much as I thought I would, but believe me, it’s worth every penny you spend. You’ll never have buyer’s remorse.
It will show the stars
This free app sucks. You can’t get any info before an add. Then after 30 sec. maybe you will get the X to close the add then before you can find something you bet another add.
It was good app before
Earlier few years ago i purchaes app and was good working. Now when you zoom in all advertisements came out and freeze map after that, basically not working. I wouldn’t trust any version of starwalking anymore
The developers are rude
The app is fine ig but it does have a lot of ads and every time someone complains about the ads the developers just say to pay for it and do the free trial but the trial is temporary and not everyone can to spend money on apps also they deleted my negative review after I responded to them for being rude

Great! …in theory…
Great app, in theory. I understand having adds in the free version of the app, but they will hit you with multiple adds within 30 seconds of the last one, making it IMPOSSIBLE to even attempt to use.
Update to respond to their response: it most DEFINITELY did! I would gladly post a screen recording of it here if I could! How dare you lie like this. NEVER doing business with people of suck low ethical standards.

The answers are way too much… Listen Before you judge…
So when I first got this game, my little brother loved it and I was so happy for him, but then we realized how many ants it has so my brother asked me to do the free trial and we did it and it was great while it lasted, but then when it was over, it was back to the ads, and my brother was screaming so much because he hated the ad so much and he told me to just buy it and he told me it’s not that hard to just buy it, but it is really hard because I’m very poor and we can barely even afford food for me and my brother I’m the only one taking care of him and so my brother got so mad after I told him that and he screamed so loud because he really liked star walk and he screamed so loud in the neighbors came and asked if he was OK and I said yes but then they called CPS on me because they didn’t believe me and then I told them it was just your game, but they didn’t believe me either and I tried to convince them everything and they said that I have three days to prove it to them, but I only needed five minutes. I told them to download the game on their phone and as soon as they did, they got so annoyed by the ads that they started cussing and screaming and then they said OK we believe you and now I have my little brother and now I became rich because my story went viral online and now I can’t afford it, but I refuse to pay it because of all the trauma that was caused and I got my brother a better app that doesn’t do this.

I see the developers left a passive aggressive reply to my review and were rather unprofessional because they know that they’re wrong and for your information I think I would know more about my little brother than you do and the phone place gives us a very good discount because of how poor we used to be, but we’re not anymore. And there’s a very big difference from choosing not to buy my little brother food and literally not being able to buy him food. Because you just said “ buy your little brother food instead of a smart phone. “ Also, you don’t help prove your point at all by using ad homonyms if you don’t know what that means go get smarter and find out.

Don’t subscribe by mistake.
I Star-walked straight into a subscription that I don’t want. There are no instructions that tell me how to cancel the subscription that I don’t want. Dodgy behaviour from the developer of a questionable app. Unhelpful and manipulative.

So I was just looking at other planets with my telescope but then I got an commercial and I shouldn't have gotten that because when NASA is trying to look for something and a commercial comes up they will not be in a mood for watching it

Outrageously steep learning curve
Maybe this is more a research tool than entertainment. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who’s not at least a deep hobbyist.
