EA please update this game

I love this game. Absolutely love it. Base command alone, not even as a companion app, but it was great as a companion app too. I personally enjoy Battlefront I more than II, and this app made the game more fun bc it gave me something to do and encouraged me to try out different star cards so that i could use them in base command, and vice versa. EA please. I know you’ve decided to sunset this game, but look at these reviews. Consistently, almost weekly if not more often people are STILL fighting for this game to come back. Please. Please just update it. I miss this game so much

Mobile version of Battlefront

I love this companion app but it’s not much. I have Battlefront 2 on my Xbox, but I want to have a Battlefront game specifically for mobile. Like it’s own game and not a port that doesn’t work very well. It would be free to play but still have in-app purchases, like crystals. The only way to buy appearances is by crystals or something. Have some characters from Battlefront 2 and Battlefront, have them be free to play. Add some of the maps from Battlefront 2 and Battlefront. But don’t put in way too much, because so that they buy your games. I’m not trying to tell you how to make your games, but these are suggestions the community would like. Thank you for your time!

Best Star Wars game on IOS

I thought this was just going to be a companion, but it’s actually it’s own game!
The game you play is almost as fun as the actual battlefront game itself. It is challenging, and won’t just take a week to complete. There is about 150 levels plus a daily level everyday. I find the most fun and challenging way to play the game is to not use hero cards, but just the basic cards (X-wing, T-47, rebel trooper, etc.), but that’s just my opinion. No matter how you play it this game is amazing. It is better than any other Star Wars IOS game I’ve played (Better than Galaxy of Heroes). Again, it’s challenging, but that’s the point of the game. I’ve just recently downloaded all the IOS Star Wars games and this one by far is the best!

Game often fails to save.

This game seemed fun at first. Then it stopped saving and got annoying. The May the 4th final mission doesn’t save. I’ve beat it at least 5 times. Now every time I want to play instead of continuing the campaign I have to select the mission I want. Then today it won’t save the daily challenge. It says something went wrong do you ant to retry, but it NEVER saves no matter how many times you tell it to. Huge waste of time and frustration.
Ps. I thought it was because I had an old phone, but last week I got a brand new phone with lots of extra memory and it still won’t save every level I complete.

Frustrating

Now, I already know this is a great game. I have played it on a PS4 and I thought to get it on my phone. So I downloaded this app and go through the long process of creating my account only to have it tell me it is having trouble creating my account and to try again later. I delete the app and try again a week later and get the same message. I tried rebooting my phone, changing my WiFi, and make sure I was up to date. In the end it still isn’t working and I have given up. Fix this please!!!

A Great App

When I saw the Base Command game I didn't think I'd like it but I played it and its actually pretty fun. I also think that if you play Star Wars Battlefront it is a excellent app to have since you can see all your stats (even more stats than you can on your Battlefront account on PS4 or Xbox). It's also helpful because you can see if your friends on your console are playing right now. I would definitely recommend this app to anybody who plays Battlefront and to people who like strategy games.

Best Game Companion App

After so many Companion apps that are lacking these days EA did it right.
Simple but with plenty of tools and a challenging mini game.
My only problem is that the daily siege challenge for the Base Command. You have 24 hours to complete but the clock doesn't go by a set hour like noon everyday, it's starts when you open the app. So if you open it at 7pm you have 24 hours to complete it. The problem with this is if you open it at 7pm and finish it, you now have to wait to 7pm the next day. This continues until you miss a day. I wish it would follow a noon start like the game's daily challenge does.

I doubt EA will make the change to this app as the last DLC had been released but I would be happy to see it in the Battlefront 2's Companion app

Edit: my one fault with the game was corrected at some point so I updated my rating. Hope this bring this app to Battlefront 2.

Really Fun!

I love this game, it's fun (and sometimes very rage-inducing) In battlefront I'm Rank 100 and have every star card/blaster, but still play this app because I think it's just fun, with a bonus! If your not Rank 100 with everything you can get in-game credits to get star cards and blasters while you play. Only downside to the app is that some levels are VERY rage-inducing. I mean VERY. Some levels I just cannot beat. However, the levels that I can beat are really fun. And I don't think that would make the game go to 4 stars.

Some potential but falls short

This game/app is easy enough to pick up and can be fairly addicting. That being said, the lack of being able to get new and better cards, combined with the punishingly fast ramp up in difficulty means being stuck and frustrated. You pass these endless seeming levels with little reward. I think it's 50 credits on a three star. 50 credits to spend on nothing! There's no card store! Actually. Your reward is using the same starter deck to fight until you hit the wall of death. And you WILl hit it. Look, stealth AT-ATs that have armor, you don't see until they are on top of you, and because they are top of you, all your regular space ships can't attack it! (Minimum range on xwings and snow shuttles) if you somehow manage to get past that, you face enemy heroes that are demigods on the battlefield. You have to kill them in one round or they heal to full. And they respawn where you killed them so they just make this endless march right into your base! I like Star Wars, and I have played magic and hearthstone. I wanted to like this game but if it can stump me, it will stump all but the most hardcore players. You may not believe me now, but you will leave the game agreeing with me! Mark my words. Uninstalling and never again!

Fun, informative

I played BF when it first came out then put it down for a year. I recently got back into it after all the expansions have been released and I'm all in. The app is very helpful for tracking weapon kills for achievement/trophy hunting. Base Commander is fun in a pinch when you have a few minutes to kill. It does have troubling ramps in difficulty and can be quite frustrating. However, if you keep playing a campaign match and losing it'll lower the difficulty. The credits earned can be helpful, though the percentage earned is stingy. I've never encountered any bugs or crashes.

Best game I have ever played

I have been a Star Wars fan for a long time and I have played both of the original battlefront games. This game is not my favorite but amazing non the less. This app adds to that game which makes it even better. It makes you think wisely about your choices because if you make on bad move you could lose in sieges. The sieges make you have use your brain which a lot of games don't have you do that. Overall this is an amazing app which I would recommend to any die hard Star Wars battlefront fans. Great job to EA and DICE.

Great App for stat tracking but mini-game flawed

The app is great for tracking your Battlefront stats and that about it! The in app mini game though lacks big time if I'd paid for it I'd ask for my money back. I'll qualify that statement, in that it lacks proper game balance. Any strategy game that needs the AI to resort to cloaking units / multiple respawns / health re-gens in each game or each turn to make the game challenging is fundamentally flawed. If the game is about utilizing strategy to maintaining multipliers and creating the best specialized card decks I'm all about that but when they AI has been set to resort to "tricks" in order to defeat player decks it just lacks a true fun factor for me. There are plenty of other turn based strategy games that get the balance right, this one just seems to progressively get it wrong... a game should be fun / challenging without bordering on frustrating. It's just my opinion your may vary. In the end the Dev's probably don't read the reviews so won't fix the balancing on a "after thought" free-be of a game.

Star Wars Battlefront Companion = Awesome Job EA

This has to be one of the best companion applications out there. It allows for easy changes and keeps you up to date. That being said, I am a "completionist" for this game only, and this app helped me track what challenges/accomplishments needed to be completed and so forth. It also includes a fun side-game called Base Command, which, once completed, provided and enormous amount of credits for in-game use. I think it can actually allow you certain advantages over those who do not have it. Overall, I believe it is fun, strategic in a sort of way, and helps you experience Star Wars Battlefront to Its fullest. Thank You Electronic Arts! 😁

Great game - hard sometimes

Good game, turn-based strategy game. Not the greatest game out there but deserve a 5 star: progressive environment (card system to gain more abilities), great graphic, didn't bug much, and also simply because it's part of the Star Wars franchise...
More variety in the mission would have made this game even better (although there is a daily mission to complete). Last but not least, this game is not very approachable and can be hard sometimes (especially if you want the 3 stars rating)...

Good game, but the constant crashing.

The Battlefront Companion is definitely a game to get. It's fun, it helps your Battlefront profile, and above all ... it's free. My only issue with the game is that it likes to crash on me either when I'm loading a campaign mission or just when I'm finally about to win a mission that has taken me several tries and victory is in my reach, and then it lags out and crashes. It's quite a terrible feeling when success is just a tap away and you lose everything, but I digress. I have been able to resume a mission after crashing before, but every time I have, the game crashes again 99% of the time. I know I'm not the only one that has had this issue. Don't know if it is a server thing or what, but EA or Dice or whoever ... if you could fix this issue that'd be grrrreat! Again, great game, it's worth getting y'all Star Wars hopefuls ... could do with a few less crashes though ...

Enjoyable.

I really like this app. Part of the reason because I can easily navigate my account and stats without having to waste time firing up the Xbox. The only issue I'm having, and, well, I'm sure it is easy to fix and I am just fighting blind, is that it says my account is logged into PC. Now... How is that even possible? It shows my Xbox gamertag and then below: a big sign saying "PC". And I also do not game on PC. It is very frustrating to me to not have the ability to see my stats and operate for REAL. Overall, very good app. However, another slight problem. I feel base command is far too hard to get 3 stars from. Anyways.. I'm out.

Maybe add a Commander to Full Game?

This companion app is somewhat similar to the Battlelog for Battlefield- hello, EA Games of course its similar Hahaha. But Yeah, you get to see your game progress from anywhere and customize your setup whenever you are not nearby your pc or console. But how about a Battlefront Commander? Where you can send helful stuff to your teammates and activate a field radar to detect stragglers or perhaps fire a shot from the Death Star or Rebel-Equivalent to decimate your enemies alongside the full game servers? But its just me, i don't know, think about it. Other than that great app, recommended to all.

Challenging but fun

I find this game challenging to get 3 stars on the sieges. But the challenge is fun and gives my old brain a workout in coming up with a winning strategy. I try to figure out how to adjust my deck of cards to have the best chance to win. I engage enemy units as far out as possible because if you wait they will overwhelm you. The key to me is to not lose the multiplier. I try to figure out when I can engage and have a draw which gives the enemy damage and weakens them but does not cost me the multiplier. Only when I am sure I can get a draw or win do I attack. The random critical hit can mess up that strategy and if that happens I just have to try again. I use the cards as quickly as I can even when using one will not give maximum damage if I were to wait a turn or two i.e. I don't wait until the maximum enemy spawn in a sector before using the orbital strike. Holding a card reduces the chance of getting another useful card. And I will discard a card hoping to get it later when it may be more useful. Having maximum shields at the end is also key. Having the squad shield card toward the end to rebuild the shields is key to that. And toward the end if I have a choice of using a card or unit to defeat an enemy I will go with the unit to get the rank up points. I use Princess Leia to defeat Boba Fett because she can defeat him and take away his re-spawn perk. Anyway a fun time killer that gives my brain a workout to come up with a winning strategy.

Solid Companion App

Cool game and other features are nice too. Works really well with the console game. Casual play and daily sieges gave me a lot of credits for use on Xbox One.

All stars are possible; I have three on every mission. Some are very hard and require not only zero units losing in battle after your first kill (no multiplier reductions) but also a significant number of unit rank-up points. You're gonna need to play the console game and unlock better cards that's the point, you can't just play the companion and do well past the first handful of missions. For one or two missions it may be necessary to restart once or twice for a good enough starting hand if you don't have all of the best cards (I'm still missing a few good ones like Millennium Falcon). But playing the companion for extra credits then the game for better cards works well and is solidly balanced, with only a couple of third stars being exceptionally difficult.

Base Command is loads of fun

I wasn't expecting much when I downloaded the app, but the Base Command game is fantastic. I haven't played Battlefront in a couple months, but I still pull up Base Command every couple of days. I wish that there were more challenges or perhaps it was a little more difficult to get three stars since I three starred every level ages ago. I can't even remember the last time I got less than 3 stars on a daily siege and I don't even have everything unlocked, but it is still a fun little mobile game nonetheless and I definitely don't consider myself a mobile gamer.

Note: I can't speak as to the rest of the apps features as I never use them. I just pull it up for Base Command.
