A Truly Magical Game!
Off the bat, This game has stunning visuals. Many merge games don’t compare to this one where it actually feels well developed of a game, but still easy for a casual gamer like me. And the storyline is so unique and funny— the jabs at the writers always leave me giggling. Ashamed/Not Ashamed to say I’ve probably spent a couple hundred dollars on this game being impatient to follow the storyline— it’s just sooo good!!! Also, as an aly, so tickled to see all the queer representation in this game.
I played this game wayy back in 2021 around pandemic era, and recently picked it up again. I’m at level 109, which is pretty high comparatively. Just goes to show how much I love this game. I want Cain and Harriet to have their happy ending!!!!

best merge game
i rarely rate apps or review them unless i have really negative or really positive experience and starbrew has definitely been the latter! a game you can actually enjoy without spending money but i honestly don't mind buying a pack here or there when im able due to the wonderful art in addition to the colorful cast (literally and figuratively). you genuinely grow to care abt the characters and not even mind the shark jumping because you're here for the edgy old but somehow still human vampire with her type a people pleaser with god like abilities and their friends that all play with tropes you expect and don't with some unexpected depth! truly a lovely blend of a mindless merge and a story i can tell real people wrote. i can't recommend this enough and also can't wait for new chapters 😸❤️

No AI finally
It is SO refreshing to finally find a merge game that doesn’t have generative AI plastered on every aspect of the game. Plus I’m really loving the characters and plot, only merge game where I actually don’t skip all the cutscenes lol!
I really want to love this game…
I love everything about this game except it shuts down repeatedly. It is so frustrating. After the third time it just closes itself I usually just give up for the night. I wanted this to be a relaxing way to unwind at the end of the day but I find it just irritates me to the point of quitting.
Fun but cards are pointless
The Crystal balls you receive to collect cards are pointless. You’ll get a bunch of cards in the beginning then they just stop. You’ll never get new ones again. Very annoying.
Reasonably fun
Don’t let the app fail to update, or everyone will be naked.

I love this game! Admittedly I drop money on it more than I should, but you really don’t have to. My favourite aspect is the art pieces you collect for rewards, and how they credit and support each artist. In a world of AI slop it is so refreshing! Second favourite aspect is character customisation. So much to choose from and collect!
The plot is silly and fun while still being engaging and feeling like it has stakes. Love the characters and their personal development is really cool to see.
My only complaint is that Starla wears her work uniform 100% of the time. But that’s hardly a deal breaker, just kind of ridiculous lol.

Fun and cozy match
I saw this promoted on Instagram and thought I’d give it a try. I like the look and story line which are more than the usual match game, but not as overwhelming as mobile RPGs. The customization is fun and the ads are minimal. I do wish the friend interface allowed for more interaction than just gifting but that may be a big ask.

Wonderful game - I’ve been playing for years and the design team consistently updates with new story, merge machines, and events. Never fails to entertain and it’s always nice to support an indie developer that doesn’t rely on AI and supports small artists.
Designed to be dull
Starbrew is carefully engineered to force you to pay to play. By the time you are at level 30, $8 will get you ten minutes of play time, and it will often take more than one payment before you hit a reward.
It’s too bad because it started out fun - still had to watch a lot of ads each day in order to play for a solid period of time, but the pace was enough to keep it interesting. Unfortunately, it quickly became impossible to play for any solid period without spending money and it only got worse and worse and worse each day.
Imagine being a game developer and designing your game to get less fun for the people who keep playing it? Madness.

MY FAVORITE GAME EVER
I absolutely ADORE this game and I’m in love with the characters. It’s my number one daily game and I just can’t get enough! Amaaaazing representation and character development!

i’m always skeptical about games i come across when scrolling through instagram, but this really takes the cake.
the entire game is made by real artists (which is crazy how uncommon that is these days), it has a compelling story and it ACTUALLY has no ads, which keeps me coming back.

Absolutely LOVE!
I’ve seen ads about this game for awhile now, I never really pay attention to them or whatever and after the 20th time seeing this game in an ad i figured I’d see what it was about because it looked cute… AND OMG! I’m glad I did because now I can’t get off and I love it! The characters and mechanics and the storytelling! It’s cute and there’s funny moments that make everything come together! 100 STARS!!

this is hands down the best merge game i've ever come across. it has a complex, unique and interesting storyline, it's so addicting, has absolutely no forced ads, has a beautiful art style (where artists are credited), is lgbtqia+ inclusive, gives plenty of opportunities to get more energy, has plenty of events to earn energy... and so much more. the characters i've memorized by name and are so interesting and fun, this game is really so good. i love this story, i'm on level 61 and i'm so excited to keep playing this. recommend this to everyone. every merge game is the same, this stands out. love it so much.

Not that bad????
I like to randomly download mobile games from ads I get just to what will happen for the fun of it. When I saw this one pop up talking about wanting to being back how older mobile games felt I knew I had to give it a try. So far I’ve been pleasantly surprised! The writing is cringy and fun, the art is very simplistic and cute and the overall mystery really just makes me want to play more. For the actual game part of it it’s super easy to get gems which makes getting more stamina really easy too! I always hated having to wait a long time to keep playing a game. Having a forced wait tile always sicks the joy out of games for me especially mobile ones. So this was honestly really nice! I just wish I was able to decorate the cafe

NOT CHILD SAFE
I’ve been playing this game for several months, at this point, and enjoy it quite a lot. However, in the past week, the majority of “friends” that pop into my line of requests are all naked. They’re cartoon people, yes. But I no longer feel comfortable letting my children play this game on my phone. I’d otherwise gladly give a 5 star rating, if this issue gets addressed. Otherwise I’ll be deleting the game.

one of the better merge games
i’ve been playing for a few years now and it’s one of the only merge games i don’t drop after a couple of weeks. no ads unless you’re wanting the free daily energy and the game is pretty generous with rewards.
the pros:
good story, good rewards for completing quests, and you can customize your avatar. there’s also what i assume is a bug (please don’t fix it devs) where when you go to complete an order with an item, if you have another of that item and merge it fast enough you still complete the order but also get the upgraded item.
the cons:
there’s another small bug (yall can fix this one haha) where sometimes an item glitches out and appears off the board. you can’t interact with it but closing and reopening the game fixes it. you can also merge it to fix it but it’s invisible on the actual board so you have to do a little scavenger hunt to find it lol. this next thing is really trivial but i noticed in other merge games if you swap two items in your board they trade places, but in this one, only one of the items you’re switching will go to the right spot and the other just kinda goes wherever. both of those cons are really small things though.
