Frequently stuck on optimizing
If you’re just looking to check something via remote once every 20 minutes or so this is the way to go. However, if you change screen focus or close and try to reopen the app in that time you will be disconnected and stuck in an optimizing loop unable to connect until you close the app for more than 20 minutes.
Multi-monitor support is miss or miss. Sometimes it detects them early. Mostly the app is confused as to why someone would even bother having additional screens.
Shifting between touch screen and zoom functionality is unintuitive and the app will decide when it lets you utilize those controls.
Been using for several months. For it to work satisfactorily you need to ensure the window you want up is on your primary monitor, make sure you turn off touch controls or risk minimizing the window you want to work with, don’t rotate your phone, and make sure you have a plan to accomplish everything or be ready to remotely browse to answer a simple question otherwise try again in 20 minutes. So if you don’t mind being mildly frustrated, routinely setback, and asking yourself why did you leave your other monitors on…. 10/10 no notes. If you are quick to anger and just want things to work…. Maybe don’t.

Actually amazing
As long as you have stable connection, it runs really smoothly and this works for my PC and my laptop playing from my phone
Better than TeamViewer, as good as Parsec.
With this, you can finally get rid of TeamViewer. And unlike Parsec, StarDesk is available on iOS (finally)
Okay, in all seriousness this remote control has (almost) all the right features you actually need whether for remote controlling a server pc or using the key mapping feature to make some mouse-locked games…playable. Not perfect, but there’s currently nothing better out there publicly besides like, Steam Remote Play.

This is the greatest remote control app in existence. I never have ever seen any app this smooth or fast. This literally supports native resolution and fps of ur monitor. So i can have 1440p 144 fps remote control no stutters or lag. Other apps stutter or lag a lot depending on how the network or quality is. But this one doesn’t especially when you’re exiting out of full screen of a chrome video it doesn’t freeze and doesn’t glitch ur audio out when you resume a video. Its literal perfection. Absolute respect to the devs of this masterpiece.

Everything works as intended and better than expected honestly. 1 issue I have is not being able to reconnect shortly after disconnecting. It will fail to establish a connection and retry over and over with no success.

I have tried other programs out there to play my gaming computer away from home. I have tried this on my iphone with a backbone one controller to connecting a keyboard and mouse and controller bluetooth to my ipad. I have to say it was like using my laptop on my iPad. Keep up the work. This app is going to change things

Best app for gaming and productivity
I have used deskin, razer remoteplay and moonlight for gaming but I found this app, it has far better input respons and low latency compared to other apps. Thank you

This app is really impressive. I love how I can remotely access my PC and still play with friends or work on school tasks even when I’m only using my phone. It makes everything so much more convenient, especially when I’m not at home but still need access to my files or games.
What stands out the most is how smooth the performance is compared to other apps I’ve tried. There’s very minimal lag, and the controls feel responsive, which makes a huge difference whether I’m gaming or doing something more productive. The connection is stable, and I don’t constantly have to deal with disconnects or delays like with other remote apps.
Overall, it’s a reliable and efficient tool that really helps me stay connected to my PC anytime, anywhere. It’s definitely one of the better apps out there for remote access

Works great, but needs slight GUI tweaking
I had to search for an alternative when Steam Link decided to work weirdly since about a week ago. Then I found this while searching “Parsec” in the App Store. Finally, another Remote Desktop app that also supports gaming and CUSTOM KEYBINDS! YES! It’s so easy to set up. You just log into your google account and both devices. No code needed! While my connection is still a bit spotty, I’m able to connect to it on my college WiFi with more stability than steam link. It also allows pinching zooming to be optional. However, when I’m changing my Key Mapping at KeyEdit, a small portion of the top menu is cut off, making it impossible to press some buttons. It doesn’t seem like I can scroll around that menu either. (As in scroll left the menu left to right, so I can see the options that are off-screen) As a result, if I add a mouse keybind, I’m now stuck with it as the delete button is located off-screen, where it is cut off, making that delete button impossible to press. Also, the clear button seems to be broken, as it just layers your new layout over your old one. I would also like the ability to duplicate my control scheme, so that I can back it up incase I mess something up or run into the cut off menu issue from above. Unfortunately, it doesn’t allow me to share my own menu to myself, for some reason. This makes duplicating menus for forking and for backups impossible. Another reason why I’d want to be able to create a copy (duplicate) of my control scheme is so that I can fork it, allowing me to optimise it for my specific app or purpose, without having to manually position the stuff first. It also would work as me making my own template for my personal use. Also, I’d like to be able to combine desktop keys with controller/gamepad keys. This app doesn’t seem to have that feature unfortunately. You either double down with controller defaults or double down with keyboard and mouse. It doesn’t seem to allow both. By the way, a virtual trackpad, similar to the one in Steam Link, would be helpful. I can see that there’s a similar feature that relates to whatever the cut off menu for the mouse keys says, but I can‘t use it cuz it’s cut off and impossible to press, let alone read, as a result. I know there’s a vertical and horizontal for something, but I have no idea what! Oh and one last request: Microphone. Like how Steam Link allows us to use our phone’s microphone as our pc’s microphone. Stardesk doesn’t seem to have microphone functionality. Also, it would be great to know what is being tracked and why? (We are asked if we want to be tracked. What do you need our identifiers for? Doesn’t our google account already let you know who we are?
Oh and Dark Mode would be great.
Other than these issues, this is a great competitor to Steam Link and has great features!

I’ve always been a TeamViewer person when it came to accessing my PCs remotely but after running into some issues recently I decided to look elsewhere. Stardesk has been amazing… I was blown away when I just realized that they let me create virtual monitors for my machines… This is a free software we’re talking about. I love the layout and the UI. It’s very moment and sleek. My favorite is the preview window of all computers that are open. It’s seriously such an incredibly well thought out app, it’s super easy it easy and has a lot of options for those who want them.
