TONIGHT AT A GLANCE The question every stargazer actually asks is not "when does Saturn rise" — it's "when should I go outside?" Answering that meant holding five rise times and the darkness window in your head at once. So here is the whole night in one picture. A bar for the Moon and each planet showing exactly when it's above the horizon, laid over a band marking true astronomical darkness, with a line showing right now. AR ON iPAD, PROPERLY THIS TIME The AR Sky Window had a bad habit on iPad: the camera feed came through rotated a quarter turn, because it was hardcoded to portrait and an iPad is usually held sideways. It now follows however you're holding it, and re-orients when you turn it. And if the camera can't start — another app has it, or the device hasn't got one — Stargazer now says so plainly instead of quietly showing you a very dark rectangle and letting you wonder whether the button worked.
