Great App in my opinion

There have been mixed reviews with this app but I personally loved this app for my style of sound. I found the app very flexible to put on my synths and drums. I dont play guitar to I cant speak from that perspective but for my synths and drums I love it!

I mean come on,

How long have you been playing guitars 3 months! Wonderwall?

Then you would not be able to truly understand the sonic quality and the amazing sonic experience this App provides.

Listen to to Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Sound Garden, after that come to criticise Stark!

Ignorance is truly a bliss!!!

P.s. These Guys Made One Shot, Luxe, Korvpressor,

And others, and now one comes criticising stark!

It’s most Stable Giitar app too, never will fail you!

Regards!

My go-to amp sim

Realising this is one of my most used plugins, definitely worth buying for me. Sounds good out of the box and has a really useable interface for my iPad Mini 5’s size. There are many other amp AUv3s but a lot of them have wayyyy too much on the screen and their preset navigation is exhausting. This one I can get a decent preset up really quickly in jam sessions where people are swapping around and it’s light enough that I can get away with running a few instances of it alongside all my other plugins without lag. I really love the wideness of the stereo cab simulation, it makes my jam session recordings sound really polished without any effort.

I would love if Klevgrand updated this to include some DI acoustic guitar-focused models and stomp and presets category, that would make this a complete all-rounder for me!

There are a lot of good amp sims out there…

… But this is not one of them. It’s completely useless for guitar in my opinion. It’s brittle, it’s sterile, it’s lifeless. This developer has done a lot of good apps for the App Store but this just isn’t one of them. I have to congratulate them that they’ve gone so long without a strikeout but this one is a bomb. Not to be mistaken with "da bomb".

I’ve been playing guitar for more than 40 years and I know for a fact I can use a preamp pedal into an IR loader into my interface and get a better tone.

I was thinking maybe this is supposed to be for keyboard players who want to add distortion to a tone. It might work for that because it kind of has a harsh bit crush kind of thing happening. Other than that it just doesn’t work well.

It just doesn’t sound great

Huge fan of all of Klevgrand’s other products. This one just...isn’t good. Sorry.

Hey Klevgr

I jux wanna say that I need update

Great design, terrible sound

Simply put, this app is beautiful, but you can’t get a useable sound out of it no matter what you do. Save your money.

I REALLY wanted to like this

Two stars for putting out an amp sim AUV3 but after many hours of trying, I can say I won’t be using this for anything. I desperately wanted to find some useful sounds here and figured I’d at least be able to dial in some really weird stuff that sounded cool. Not so. The presets are pretty much as good as it gets and that’s not a good thing. It’s hard to put a finger on exactly why it’s so bad. Thin, brittle, cold, lifeless, or just weird and off putting. It’s almost like a DI guitar signal with weird processed signal somehow layered separately on top of it, if that makes any sense. Additionally, the bass, mid, and treble knobs are only remotely useful through about 10 percent of their range. I suspect the biggest problem is with the cabinet simulation because when bypassed and used with another cab sim app, it sounds somewhat better. But then you’re out of AUV3 land. I’ll hold out hopes for a massive update/overhaul someday.

All things to all men (and women)

This is one of those “oh my stars I wish I’d found this before all those other GUIs with their extortionate IAPs” apps. Really, this pretty much does all the amp sim I need, and with the addition of one or two top-drawer FX apps my world is complete. One small issue is just that- the size of the text, especially in the menus, is hard going for a chap of my age, but I’m not taking a star off just because I’m not as young as I once was.

Almost

A unique modeling engine but hard to tame and dial in a sound. The signal path is ambiguous and the gain structure remains a mystery. Stacking boosters in series doesn’t behave the way most pedal boards or sims seem to work. Tremendous potential though as the character of the sim does seem to have more headroom and broader harmonic capabilities.

A really must have app

I bought it the same day it was released and I have to say it sounds amazing, really cool sound and quality.

P.S: Could you please add an auto-wah effect? Thank you masters

It’s by klevgrand

Can’t say no to klevgrand !

Outstanding App & Developer Support

I bought this app on the strength of YouTube reviews on using it with keys. I’m glad I did, it’s amazing. Despite warning of high CPU usage it runs really well on an iPad Mini 2 with no noticeable effect on performance.

I initially reviewed this and gave it four stars, however following swift help and guidance from the Developer, I have changed this to five stars. I contacted them by email over the Easter bank holiday and received a response first thing on the Tuesday after. They were extremely helpful and patient with my newbie queries.

Buy this and you won’t be disappointed, simply outstanding value and more than justified at full price given the level of complexity beneath a seemingly simple GUI.

Very useful

I just bought Stark amp simulator and I’m very pleased with it.The price is good as well.

5 star sound, 4 star UI

The sound from this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I’ve been stacking effects on effects to get sounds only half as good as this. I bought a bunch of distortion effects the day before this came out (typical) trying to chase sounds that this can do effortlessly.

My one gripe is turning the knobs on the 4 interchangeable effects slots ends up with me moving the whole effect unit instead.

Best Audio Unit amp sim

So if I’m being completely honest, I wouldn’t say this is the best amp sim on the iOS platform, I could easily name 4 that sound better to my ears, but this is the only one that is an Audio Unit and it takes Cubasis to another level as far as guitar goes. I’ll still rely on other IOS guitar sims but I have no regrets buying this one. Hopefully it just gets better thru updates but for laying quick ideas and recording guitars in a Daw that support audio units then this is great imo.

Sounds good

But if there was a way to save presets in the app it would be a lot more useful

After a long string of hits...

Klevgrand finally misses with one. Very nice simple layout, but with these amp simulators, everyone's gonna have their preference for some reason or another, and no one's gonna be truly right. And to me, this is a simulator in the literal sense of the word. It sounds like an alien facsimile in its approximation of a guitar amp--recognizable, but there's a strange, almost eerie disconnect there.

I Own All Their Apps....there is a reason

Quality, price and support. Just buy it.

Sounds great on everything!

Try this particularly drums, it will change the character so much it sounds like you picked a new kit. Any doubt, watch Doug Wood’s sound test room demo. The four stomp box slots are intuitive your 1st time using this FX portfolio. Highly recommended!
