Great when it works
I love this app for helping with reference images, but it often gives me an error message and doesn’t allow me to save my image. I thought that was only on the free version but when I just paid for it, it is still giving me the error. Maybe it needs some time.

I have used the wed site since 2024. I love the images and how we can change them to be exactly what we need by the minute.

Starry still owes me over 1000 credits. I have sent screen shots and they still refuse to refund them.

Didn’t let me generate one thing at all just kept telling me to start the free trial so I tried to and it didn’t let me

They charged my account bc it automatically registered me for the pro subscription
Too Many Updates
The updates are making the app worse. Where did all the fun styles go? I saved them because they were good. They worked, but you deprecated them. Please bring them back in hopefully what will be the final update.

False Advertising
They actually say in their ad “Enter a prompt for the AI to work with (it can be anything!)”, but that’s a lie because anything even remotely suggestive hits the app’s filtering and it says that you have violated the Prime Directive and we are unable to create that image. Personally as an adult when I buy something I should be able to make my own decisions, so I will be canceling the subscription.

Smooth, and Impressive Results
Intuitive and satisfying selfie and portrait production with options to change and enhance each image! I’ve used Starryai since it was first in the AppStore, and it’s changed so dramatically, for the good! My first images were barely recognizable and now I produce pro images.
My great disappointment is the sudden disappearance of the Take a Trendy Pic and Put Yourself in, Section! I’ve done some wonderful work using free-to-edit images, and today I find the app no longer has that option. I want it back or I’m moving on to apps that allow that creativity.

This app used amazing. Five free lumens a day. Collect for 10 days and you could make your own style. Participate in community art challenges and get very decent generated artwork from. The past few times I’ve been back to it it has gotten so bad and it’s become nothing more than an Instagram Post Photo Generator for wanna be Influencers. No art contests that I can find in the UI. No more art styles and recently generated user content in those styles and it’s one free lumen per day is probably useless for most. I guess I’m lucky I still have 800 credits (for now) but even that’s useless because when I try to make something with my custom styles it acts like the style doesn’t exist. What’s the point of this app anymore. Too bad because if it stayed the way it was I would’ve signed up for the yearly subscription
