About
Start Time is for people who play and ride: find a game or a group ride at your level near you, run your weekly group, and keep everyone you play and ride with in one place, from sign-ups to chat to photos afterwards.
Tennis, pickleball, basketball, road cycling and mountain biking, all in one place, with one profile across every sport you play.
FIND A GAME OR A RIDE
• See events at courts, parks and trailheads near you, on a map or as a list
• Every event shows its sport and skill range, so you join games and rides that suit you
• Follow the venues you play at and hear when something is on there
• Short one player, or want company on Sunday's ride? Post an event open to anyone nearby
RUN YOUR GROUP
• Create a group for your weekly game, ride or club, public or invite-only
• Set up recurring events once ("Tuesdays at 6pm") and let people sign up each week
• Set a player limit and let the waitlist do the rest: when someone drops out, the next person on the list moves up automatically
• Clubs can split into sub-groups by level, pace or squad
• Invite people to your group by email, or share an event's link so anyone can sign up
STAY IN THE LOOP
• Group chat for every group, and direct messages with the people you play and ride with
• Notifications when a spot opens, plans change or something new matches your sport
• Choose what you hear about, and set quiet hours so nothing buzzes at night
• Add any event to your phone's calendar in one tap
PLAY AND RIDE WITH PEOPLE YOU LIKE
• Add friends and see who is free to play or ride
• Set a skill level per sport, using real ratings where they exist (like tennis NTRP)
• Share photos from your games and rides
FREE FOR PLAYERS
Joining games, rides, groups and events is free, and organizers never pay to create events.
Start Time works alongside the web app at app.starttime.io, so your group can sign up from any device.

What's New in Start Time Sports
1.0.1
November 3, 2026
• Set your skill level in one tap. Each level explains itself, so you don't need to know your rating. • A "Finish setting up" checklist on Home for anything left to do. • Creating an event? The skill range now starts around your own level. • Tennis uses NTRP; pickleball and golf have shorter, clearer level lists. • A proper profile page, with your sports and levels on their own screen. • "Use current location" on Discover. • Fixes: some players were wrongly turned away from events.
