No longer save sites on iPhones

As of August 2025 Start.me can no longer save websites regardless of whichever browser one uses. Apple devices do not play well with third party software and it’s grown worse over years. I suspect that this more to do with Apple than Start.me as this is a recent problem. What once was the so called walled in garden has become a fenced in high security prison yard complete with turreted armed guards and electrified barbed wire barricades. I wish I never bought the iPhone 16.

Thanks for informing us about this issue, Databanktwo. We've also noticed some issues with saving, and we're investigating as to its causes. We hope to find a solution soon. And as as workaround, you can always copy the link to the page you want to save, and paste it to a bookmarks widget. Just press the pencil icon, and paste. We hope this helps for now!

The best bookmark manager

I love the widgets specially rss widgets. It’s very useful if you use different browsers.

A REALLY FANTASTIC AND EXTREMELY USEFUL APP! I

I LOVE THIS APP BECAUSE IT SIMPLIFIES MY LIFE ENORMOUSLY. I CAN STORE AND ORGANIZE ALL MY BOOKMARKS IN AN EXTREMELY HANDY WAY AND ALL FROM ONE PLACE ONLY.
I CANNOT THANK THE DEVELOPPERS ENOUGH FOR THIS JEWEL!

I CAN ALSO ACCESS ALL MY BOOKMARKS FROM MY IPAD AND MY DESKTOP SINCE THE APP SYNCHRONIZES IT ALL.

Kann nicht wirklich mehr als ein von der Seite start.me erstelltes Lesezeichen auf dem Startschirm.
Umschalten zwischen Tabs nicht möglich, da vom Upgrade auf Pro überlagert.

It works now

New version May, 2022 works OK. I will keep using it as the home page in the browser for now instead of the app. That has worked well for a me.

Best share bookmark

Since i met startme, I use it instead of bookmark in all my browsers on pc, iphone and tablet. I use startme as Rssfeed, too. Besides i can add custom widgets. Thanks to startme, i can easily synch my favorites, notes, agendas, feeds between devices.

Great bookmark manager

I’ve been a paid subscriber for a number of years and this app is a great enhancement. There’s really nothing missing except for maybe tagging the bookmarks. Fantastic product!

Thanks for your review and five stars! You mentioned the option to add tags to your bookmarks. You've correct: we haven't added this feature, but you can use the description field of your bookmark to add all the keywords you want. Our search function also checks the description, so you can find all the related bookmarks later. We hope this helps!

More than a bookmark manager

A very beautiful and elegant start page platform for bookmarks, tasks, notes and widget. Highly recommended.

Great, but missing one thing on the mobile client...

Can you take into account our default browsers rather than continuing to leave the safari button on the bottom or the application? For example, I want that “open with safari” button replaced with “open with Chrome” or “open with Edge” depending on which is set. Because this application is perfect otherwise, I just would prefer to go to my default browser where all my passwords are saved rather than continuing to open up in safari, manually copy the link and paste and go to my default browser. Minor annoyance. Please fix :) I love this service.

However, when I click it, it opens my preferred browser, which is Chrome. Can you please verify. I've asked the Development Team to change the icon according to the preferred browser. Ist isnt possible to login with my Account, bacause it is loading and loading without happening anything.
