Doesn’t work, crashes every time
Can not get it to work at all on my iPad, paid for the app, complete waste of money.
Awesome for me (novice)
I don’t do much in terms of astronomy (yet) but would love to learn and will get a telescope when I actually have time. But this app is awesome for helping to visualize the location of various planetary bodies and constellations in the relation to our planet (actually your current location on the planet). Very cool to know where things are and to see what stars your looking at in the night sky if you have very limited knowledge.

Great app. Amazing how close uranus is
Like the constellations and how easy this is.
Positions of Objects Inaccurate...
Last night I realized that the placement of some objects is way off. As an example, M71 is depicted between the feet of Gemini. In reality, M71 is a loose globular cluster in the constellation Sagitta. It’s positioning in this app is nearly 180 degrees off. Gemini is a winter constellation, and Sagitta is a summer constellation close to Cygnus.

iPad 12" not working
I had this on my iPad Air and it worked amazingly. But since I move it to iPad Pro 12.9, the screen only shows at the bottom right corner about 1/3 of the screen. Very sad! Can this be fixed, please?
Astrology interfering with astronomy!
I have just wasted money on downloading the full version of this app. I did it to try to avoid ads and the stupid astrology pictures that interfered with my viewing on the iPad. Can't find out how to change the view or anything. This is useless.
Don't buy it, there are much better apps for stargazing on your iPad.

Pretty good
The controls are confusing. This, like other astronomy apps, try to do way too much for you. As soon as you start up the app, it takes you a ride thru the sky, where a combo of device movement, and finger navigation, leaving you questioning where up and down are at. You never get to go into "let me navigate exactly where I want to go, and let me spin the sky the way I WANT TO". The downside of that is that sometimes the North Star is to the top, bottom, right and left. And you are left guessing what the stars will appear like, when you go outside.
I've given up on this app, because when I take it outside, it never lines up, and I am given ZERO control over CORRECTING the star map, to match the actual night sky. I understand the desire to do neet things for users, but when I have a star chart, I can turn it to match what I am looking at, not an option here.

Best astronomy program I have found and is so useful as a teaching aid. Everyone should use a copy.
Highly Valuable for Money
StarTracker is a valuable app for money. Although it is not as graphically perfect as Sky Safari series or Sky View series, it is still an excellent choice as it allows one using an iPhone or iPad to see all around them. Just like a Planetarium in your hands.

Good astronomy app but, could do with adding some more info like, distance of all deep sky objects from the earth or observers location, distance from one object to another. A stars magnitude or brightness. The Colour of a star or object. Better zoom to make image larger with relevant information about deep sky objects like galaxyies.

Problems on an iPad 2 with iOS 8 with latest version
The compass will not work if you manually set the location when off line. Since I have WiFi only, this is a definite problem.
