Useful for finding your stellar bearings

This app helps me to find at a glance both planetary bodies and the names of visible stars in my area. It works very well to help me get my bearings. My vision isnโ€™t as good as it once was and having this tool makes it enjoyable to view the stars and planets, many like Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus can be seen with the naked eye.

Useful, practical Astronomy app.

Great app for quick location of objects. Easy to use and well designed.

Great App

Good quality, great for learning about constellations and zodiac signs. Overall great app! ๐Ÿ˜

Compass spins around - no support

The compass doesnโ€™t point in the right direction. There is no way to contact the developer. Total waste of money.

Me

Super cool!!

Love it, but...

This is a great app. I absolutely love it. My only complaint is that sometimes itโ€™s not calibrated right. Iโ€™ll be pointing south and the app is saying say West. And I try to recalibrate it. Other then that itโ€™s great.

Great app!

Itโ€™s very accurate and is perfect to help me spot stars and planets, it showed me the best time to see Saturn and I will see it for the first time because of this app :)

The best star tracking app out there

I love this app because it doesnโ€™t need an internet connection to work. It uses your phones compass and downloaded content to show the stars and constellations. I use this app a lot when I go back country back packing.

Disappointed

Used to work flawlessly. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times but every time I open the app graphics just spin around aimlessly. Moving on.

Interesting app

Very pleased with stargazer. Easy to use but wish it would give a brief description of stars: size, mass, age, distance, composition and iron level. All in relation to our sun.

Astronomy

I love the night sky and looking at all the constellations from my vantage point..
This guide serves an useful purpose of letting me know exactly where they are in the sky..

Need some help

How do I share this app with my husband? We both have iPhones. Thanks.

Poor quality.

I bought the full version hoping it would help but it didnโ€™t- the planets/moon/constellations/etc donโ€™t line up at all even though its showing it calculated my coordinates correctly. I feel if that was accurate it would be a great app but regardless of how pretty it is, if it doesnโ€™t work it doesnโ€™t work.

Good App, Hasnโ€™t been updated

I used to really like the app, but I switched my phone to an XR and now the app doesnโ€™t display correctly. The menus are cut off, and icons disappear around the corner edges.
I see the app hasnโ€™t been updated in a year. A tell tale sign of developer disinterest.

My favorite app of this type

I am a very casual dabbler when it comes to astronomy - I don't even own a telescope. However, I do like to be able to look up the occasional unusually bright object visible to the naked eye even in city lights. I most recently enjoyed the near conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in the morning sky. Venus I figured out based on past knowledge but I would never have known I was also seeing Jupiter without the help of this app.

I have downloaded and tried a number of similar apps but for my purposes this one is by far my favorite and my go-to and the only one I found worthy of taking the time to leave a review. It doesn't keep me stuck for 15 seconds on a splash screen before opening, and I don't have to have music interrupting my podcasts if I don't want it (both big pet peeves of mine with some of the competitive apps). But most important of all is the great flexibility - the user has the choice, through the settings, of whether or not to see such things as zodiac names or constellation outlines.

What else can I say other than if you are going to have one stargazing app this is the one to get.

My favorite app

One of my favorite apps of all time. I love how much you have improved it. Itโ€™s a joy to see the heavens
