About
I'm forever finding articles and videos I want to get to later, so I made StashIt to keep them all in one place. You tap Share in Safari, YouTube or pretty much any app, then StashIt, and it's in your stash. There's a Chrome extension and a web app too, so the things you find on your computer end up in the same place.
Videos get a big picture with their length on it, since that's how you pick what to watch, and articles get a smaller row with the site's icon and how long they'll take to read. Once you've started something there's a little bar showing how far through you are.
The app keeps everything in your stash on your phone, pictures and all, so you can read on a plane or anywhere the signal's rubbish. When you have got signal it opens the real web page, so sites you're signed in to still work, and you can flip over to the saved copy whenever you like. The saved copy is a plain page with whatever text size, font and colour suits you, and it remembers where you got up to.
When you finish something you tuck it into the archive, and you can jot a note on anything as you go. Search finds anything you've stashed or archived, even offline, and if you can't decide what to read next, Lucky Dip picks something for you (usually something that's been waiting a bit too long). There's a home screen widget that does the same.
You sign in with Apple or Google and your stash syncs between your phone and the web. There's no ads and no tracking, and you can delete your account and everything in it from the Me tab.
Oh and there's a poop in the chest. Say StashIt a bit too quickly and you'll work out why.
If you find a bug or have an idea, email me at stashit@mikecann.app. Hopefully you like it!
