Worthless

I wanted to see if this app provided me any additional information that I haven’t stumbled upon on the web. So I figured I’d give this app and chance and signed up for the 3 day trial. I go through the process to iniate the trial through the App Store and received notification I was good to go. So I log back onto the app and it’s still acting as if I didn’t sign up. So if I cancelled. I’m not wasting my time figuring out how to make the thing work when thousands upon thousands of other apps don’t seem to have usability issues. Maybe when the owners of this app finish middle school I’ll reconsider.

"State Statute & Federal Law" app

Regarding the
"State Statute & Federal Law" app,
and also so far, TWO of their "Complete Sets".

If not for the notes in the caveat section below, I would give this app 6 or 7 STARS.

FUNCTIONALITY/ESTHETICS: 6 STARS
--Very well organized;

--Excellent screen and information layouts,
and labels/descriptions,
resulting in great ease of use - the app designer clearly cares about the organized and visual ease of use of their "State Statute & Federal Law" app;

--New Super Important Feature: easy to copy text from the app for use in other documents;

--Extremely helpful attractive icons including both the main home screen icon, AND the icons inside the app, of the different collections of statutes and codes;

--"State Statute & Federal Law" app arguably has some of the BEST LOOKING ICONS of any apps: strong subtle icon images with great coloring.

CUSTOMER SERVICE/TECH HELP: 7 STARS
--Absolutely Exemplary! It is difficult to imagine better tech support than I received when I recently had an issue. Kaboserv.com Development LLC's tech support quickly and helpfully replied to my questions, AND provided solutions, and provided multiple solution paths, AND provided additional informations beyond my direct questions that led to my being able to SMOOTHLY SOLVE the problem I was experiencing. Tech support was EXCELLENT and helped solve the app issue I was having QUICKLY and SMOOTHLY.

RECOMMENDATION CAVEAT:
Their privacy policy is disappointing, including that they assert that they can turn off, or even remove documents/document subscriptions that one has already purchased / subscribed to..

So these points should be taken into account, noting that these aspects are unfortunately counter to being pro-privacy, and pro-freedom, which are important issues, which are increasing in importance in these times/our times of changes.

SUGGESTIONS:
1. I would suggest the developer to remove the offensive privacy issues, AND INSTEAD build more sales by CREATING MORE SET PACKAGES that could be purchased from the developer. (for instance:
---UCC,
---various UN codes,
---International codes,
---other country codes,
---city codes,
---township/county regulations, etc.
---even ancient and other historical codes could be made into for sale PACKAGE SETS).
2. Subscriptions ending should not effect items that have been already downloaded: just exactly as I do not want the publishers of my magazine subscriptions, removing my subscribed older issues from my bookshelves or waiting room. While I would happily pay for annual subscriptions for updates and for additional statutes and codes sets, paying to not have already paid for and received subscription removed, decreases not increases my long term ownership/collection/purchase decisions and actions.

SUMMATION:
I have multiple of their "complete sets" and
I find them to be VERY Helpful.
So despite,
The privacy issues policy being poor,
The app functionality is EXCELLENT
The tech help is superbly EXCELLENT
The visual look of the app is EXCELLENT

If not for the caveats above I would give this app 6 or 7 STARS.

If you are concerned about tech support with this app, I can assure you my recent experience with the tech support/app developer was/has been EXCELLENT.

Hope this helps.

No app support

Title 75 does not display the table of contents page or the definitions section 102. The developers offer no support page and do not respond to posted comments page either.

Great app

Very useful app, developers keep up with updates frequently.

Am I missing something?

Why isn’t Alabama listed?

MUST HAVE APP FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROFESSIONALS

a must and mandatory app to have for criminal justice professionals. Has all the case law and allows for key search words throughout the entire statute. Definitely worth the yearly purchase which include updates to new revisions. Can’t beat it. Thank you to the developer/s of the app.

The sleeze is real

Really? $5 a month to have a copy of laws you could literally get yourself if you look online?

Highly recommend

A lot of reviews people are complaining about the cost, but it’s 100% worth it. Not to mention the developer is constantly making changes for the better and thats not free lol this app is super conveniant and has been nothing short of fantastic. The developer is quick to resolve any issues and the customer service is great.

Terrible

A keyword search, probably the most important feature of an app like this, is beyond terrible. It defeats the whole purpose of purchasing an app like this. Google works much better and faster. Save your money.

Scammed previous customers

Before the update this app was Pay one time app.
Customers were forced to update the app making it useless. Now they want existing customers to re-purchase the app. Douche move. I’ll stick with my title 39 handy book.

Good app for state statues

Not a fan of subscriptions but it's the nature of the beast. This is a good app for state statues that gets updated regularly. Only thing I see wrong is the NJ titling is incorrect. Currently it say title 39 is criminal and 2C is traffic code. After re installing the issue has been corrected. Thanks for the quick updates and timely feedback.

Law Enforcement Recommended

This app is always up-to-date with the new changes in PA law. Great tool.

CI

Is there any when you preform an update that we can keep any titles that we put in our favorites. Once you update the app you loose all your favorties.

Underhanded and Deceptive

OK, I get it. It’s expensive to keep the statutes current, and to keep the app up to date as operating systems update. Sure, an annual subscription makes more sense in that context than a one-time purchase. The loser move was forcibly wiping the old app as part of an “update” with zero warning. You could have posted a notice or an annoying pop-up telling us it was no longer supported, and to switch over to the new app before an OS update renders the old app completely useless, and then just let it die in due course. But now it’s forced, and on top of that your users have to rebuild their favorites from scratch without being able to refer back to the old data. One terrible decision lost you a lot of goodwill earned from an otherwise excellent service.

Great App

The app has always been a great resource, easy to use and well worth the money. Customer support is fair and reasonable and I’m very satisfied with my experience. Thank you

Support the creator

This app has been extremely useful. The change from the old app was unfortunate, but we as consumers need to realize it wasn’t his fault. He’s done a great job!

More Titles?

I like this app. Don’t mind the $3 per year; it’s well worth it. Can you add NJ Title 23 for fish & game?

Very useful and Easy

This app is very cheap and helpful for law enforcement. Instead of searching the statue in a book or asking others, it is on the tip of your fingers and easy to find. I could not find an easier app for Title 39 and use it as a learning guide as well. Def recommend for others.

Great App

One of the best purchases i have ever made. Would recommend this to all law enforcement! Extremely useful and helpful especially when a title 39 or 2C book isn’t with you on scene!

Poor business practice

Purchased the app several years ago. One day on patrol I go to open the Title 75 app and I now tells me I need to pay $2.99 per year per app! No way! Already paid for it.
