StatPearls Reference User Reviews

Top reviews

The app does not work.

Unable to download questions, it reads that the is a problem communicating with the server. It will not let be subscribe. Useless.

Great

This is everything any medical professional needs. Just amazing

Stick with the free articles

I subscribed for the CME based on the high quality of StatPearls articles available on Google. The CME activities, however, are surprisingly poor. Childishly written with poor grammar and outdated information. The CME questions are written as if the target audience is for EMT students, which in itself would not be insurmountable if the answers weren't so wrong. I've requested a refund. Hopefully the business side is more proficient than the CME side of their operation.

Phenomenal service, app can improve

Stat Pearls is phenomenal, the service and information is excellent and up to date. The app, however, has a long way to go. One thing to start with, in my opinion, is that I would love to be able to change the font size of the article I’m reading. That would make it a 5 star rating. Also, I find the font in the web page is nicer to read. If that could be adjusted, it would be perfect in my opinion.

StatPearls helped me in graduate school

I mainly used StatPearls on my computer to look up diseases and evidenced based practices. This is a great tool. Helped me a lot.

Great system... great price

I can always easily find detailed info about whatever it is I’m looking for (normal or rare). All for 9.99 a year. Cant beat it.

Frustrating

Purchased the TCRN questions. I can’t recommend this app. By the end I was aggravated and quickly deleted it. Here are my issues:

Some of the 700 questions were management of a medical (not trauma) condition, other were clearly directed towards MDs (surgical technique for hip fx, what type of sutures to use, etc).

Other questions were difficult to understand as they seem to have been translated from another language.

Some just flat out had had an incorrect answer and the right answer in the rationale section.

On the burn questions you had a 50/50 shot of guessing whether the fluid formula would use the 2 or 4 ml calculation.

Good content poor app

Statpearls is an amazing resource. However, not sure why there is no search function within the app. Also no outlines available. Similar apps like uptodate has a much better user interface. The app design is really poor and difficult to navigate.

What great medical content.

I read the few negative comments regarding finding questions but when I went into the app I was able to find the questions I was looking for quite easily. Thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a great medical tool.

Terrible app

I purchased this app and paid an additional $9.99 to access the TNCC practice questions. However, I searched all over the app and can’t find where these questions are. It’s a waste of money and time. I DO NOT recommend this app.

Response from developer

Hello Acov13, We are sorry you're having trouble finding the content. The TNCC practice questions are located under Specialty Questions -> Registered Nurse Certifications -> Trauma Certification (TNCC). Had you emailed us, we could have walked you through finding them much quicker. Sorry for the inconvenience. -StatPearls Team

I’m a new post pre-med and Chiropractor seeking Medical School entrance.

I am excited to review the USMLE questions and to review this unique site.

Number of questions decreased from 18K to 2K

At the time of subscription there are 18,000+ questions. Suddenly app updated and now only 2000 questions are available.
