Failed to connect to Steam
This app has been shut down, as if it wasn't useless enough already being separate from the main app. Garbage.
Stolen account
My account was stolen from me and I believe it’s through this app. Steam support was actually more of a headache and for some reason they think I’m the hacker or hijacked and that the guy who’s using my account is the legitimate one. Unbelievable, as my account has been with me for 2 decades. Soooooo frustrating and sad.

why does this exist
I remember when we could just text people on the normal app, that was so much easier than this.
Locked out because steam guard doesn’t recognize this app
Really frustrating unfortunately. Normally really trust valve but this app is bad. Will ask you to use steam guard, link you to the app, and then ask you to scan a QR code (which doesn’t exist) to sign in. This wouldn’t be an issue if they just included this with the steam app itself but unfortunately chats on the app or mobile search engine are abysmal and you can’t even sign into the system they designed chats to be held in. Very disappointing.

I want to start by saying I LOVE STEAM. But the app is sorta clunky Its very laggy and I would like a notification sound like hey this person just messaged you or that kind of thing
Steam needs to update this app!
Even the regular steam ui and steam app is starting to show its age but this app is just abandoned

картинки отправляются через раз и грузятся невероятно долго, нету функции звонков которая есть на пк версии, приложение может перестать работать если ты перезаходишь в него. администрации стима больше всего безразлично на коммуникацию между пользователями внутри платформы.

Seems the app may have finally collapsed after five years without an update. Unfortunate, since the main Steam app has no social functionality.

its steam chat but mobile, works fine. I understand why it's not built into the main app because it would make it a bit harder to use so having a different app works for me at least!

I can’t even log in because it says I need to type in a code generated in the steam app but there is none generated.
Steam guard code
App asks for steam guard code but my authentication never makes one. It asks me to scan one with my phone in the other app but it’s on my phone I’m trying to use. I can’t scan my own phone.
Maybe with a series of cleverly placed mirrors?

Doesn’t work at all.
Can’t log in. Last update was 5 years ago. Idk how valve forgot about their own app, or why this isn’t integrated into the app they actually do seem to upkeep.
