Love this app!

This app is taking Nigeria’s financial media to the next level

Good but plenty of room for improvement

It was good to be able to follow the Nigerian elections from the UK in (almost) realtime using the Stears app. The app’s election page was presented well. While premium users can save articles for later, it would be very helpful to be able to download articles as a PDF or print articles (and subsequently be able to save them as a PDF). The ability to export articles from the app would make the app a much stronger and more helpful companion for academics, researchers and research institutions, and writers, who often underline and include annotations to articles. It would also be very helpful if there was an option to download articles within the app for offline viewing both with a free account and a premium account. Being able to read articles in this app while not connected to the internet would actually be great because ones reading at that time would be more focused, with less opportunity for distractions often caused be notifications received on one’s phone, tablet or laptop (e.g, emails, social media, instant messaging apps etc.). As I stated in the title to this feedback, the app is good but there is indeed plenty of room for improvement. Video content of some sort would be a welcome edition. For example, larger written pieces could be used to develop engaging videos. This doesn’t necessarily require incredible footage or editing, it could simply be a face-to-camera piece where somebody reads the content of the articles, albeit in an engaging way, or some visuals related to the article along with a voiceover of the article. I suggest that these videos should be based on the free-to-read articles and also should be shareable online (email, WhatsApp, social media etc). Making these videos shareable could increase traffic to the website and also increase the rate of conversion from free to premium accounts.
