About

Weigh steel in seconds. Steel Section Calculator gives the nominal weight of standard steel sections. Pick a section and a size, enter a length in metres, and read the result in kilograms or tonnes, along with the mass per metre. ■ What it covers • I and H beams: IPE, HEA, HEB • UPN channels • Equal and unequal angles • Round, square, hexagonal and flat bars • Round pipes and square or rectangular tubes • Black and galvanized steel sheet ■ Quick to use Type a size in search (for example "IPE 200") or browse by section type. Not sure what you are looking at? The identify guide asks a few simple questions with pictures and points you to the right family. ■ Pipes and tubes, two ways Exact mode subtracts the wall from the outer size and is geometrically precise. Quick (market) mode uses outer perimeter × thickness, the simplified formula many supplier calculators use, so you can match a quote you have received. Switch between them at any time. ■ Your units, your language Metric (mm, kg) or imperial (in, lb). Arabic, English and Simplified Chinese, including a full right-to-left layout. ■ Works offline All section data is inside the app. No account, no login, no ads, and no data is collected. Your language and unit choices stay on your device. ■ A note on accuracy Weights are nominal, calculated from standard section dimensions (EN 10365 and EN 10056). Real deliveries vary within mill tolerances. The dimensions have been cross-checked against published reference tables, not against the official standards themselves, so confirm a figure with your supplier before relying on it for a quote or a purchase.
