Better before...
Now the app is almost three times that price and simple things like play alongside music you can no longer do on iPhone. I learned to get over it eventually but the whole “steelpan professor” sub-menu appears and nothing can be selected. The arrows next to “Pan” are forever greyed out and cannot be selected. And I have the most updated version of the app and am on iPhone 11 Pro with the most updated iOS.
I give it props for having most available pans (if rocket pan can be added too that would be amazing). And the sound response time is still unmatched. But for this money, especially when most other phone apps try not to pass $10 USD, I would expect at least all the buttons to work. Like the app need to go back to basics or something.

Hello User, please send a WhatsApp text to 416-617-0860 for personal instruction on how to use the app if you like. Before and after you downloaded the app there is instructions about how to use the basic functions which includes how to activate “Steelpan Professor” that’s why it’s grayed out, please read or send us a text. You can also call. Apple have rules which is changing on a daily basis and because you can’t play along to your music like before ( #1 Steelpan App ) everyone automatically assumes it’s the developer fault. FYI Apple discontinued this feature for Apps like Steelpan App PRO. So your 2 star rating should go to Apple not this app. There are so many videos on YouTube on how to activate “Steelpan Professor” Thanks Napeinc support.
not working on a14 devices (iPhone 12 and iPad 2020)
Brought this to practice pan while I’m on the train and in quiet spaces but the app just crashes doesn’t open on my iPhone 12 or on my iPad 2020

Hello user, DID YOU JUST JAIL BRAKE YOUR DEVICE ?? There are 50 billion reasons why an App crashes and it’s all on the user. If you can take the time to rate this App and write a negative comment then you can go one step further and visit YouTube and learn why apps crash. If you are wondering why your other Apps are not crashing is because Steelpan App PRO is current and is always being updated while your other apps are old very small and is native to your devise before you jail broken your devise. TIPS 1) Delete some of your pictures and videos IF YOU ARE AT CAPACITY. 2) Maybe you have too many apps running at the same time. 3) Delete the app and reinstall it without interruption. 4) Power off your device and restart. Some people never take their devise off. 5) Visit youtube for the next 1 million tips.

This App comes with the ability to download/purchased an “in-app” called “Steelpan Professor” once acquired it allows users to access the Internet to find any midi file available and the App will play it back for you. Apple sets the age recommendation for any App that has the ability to access the Internet very high. I hope this explanation communicates that the rating is only there to bring awareness however you as the parent can guid and monitor your son with this in mind. In your case, without the “Steelpan Professor” the app would not have access to the internet. With this explanation I hope you reconsider your rating. Thanks
