About
SteepTrace is a calm, offline-first tea journal for people who want to remember what worked across every infusion.
SAVE YOUR TEA SHELF
Keep teas with type, vendor, origin, harvest or lot, private notes, tags, favourite status, quantity and a low-stock threshold. Save leaf, water, temperature, vessel and a complete infusion sequence for one-tap reuse.
TIME EVERY INFUSION
Run a focused multi-infusion timer without an ad covering the brew. Pause, adjust by five seconds, move through the sequence, and keep the active session across app restarts. Built-in starting points are editable prompts—not claims that there is one perfect recipe.
BUILD A USEFUL HISTORY
Rate the cup and record aroma, body, sweetness, finish, tasting tags and notes. Repeat a prior session with its exact parameters. Review session and infusion totals, frequently brewed tea types, low-stock teas and teas that have been quiet on the shelf.
KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR DATA
No account or developer cloud is required. Tea records and tasting notes are stored locally on your device. Export sessions as CSV or readable text, and create a validated JSON backup that restores the complete shelf and history. Exports leave only when you choose a destination in the device share sheet.
OPTIONAL REMINDER
Choose one local daily tea reminder. SteepTrace does not register for remote push notifications.
ALL FEATURES ARE FREE
There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, trials, paywalls or paid-only tools. Advertising supports the app. Consent is requested before any ad request, every ad request is marked non-personalised, and advertising fails closed when privacy or dedicated production configuration is unavailable. Banners stay outside the active brew timer, app-open ads begin only after initial sessions and are capped, and an optional rewarded ad changes colour only—it never unlocks a core feature.
SteepTrace does not provide medical, caffeine, food-safety or professional brewing advice. Follow the tea maker's instructions when available and use your own judgement for water handling and temperature.
