About
Your steps and activity, like a terminal log.
Stepmit isn't your typical fitness app. It's an activity log with a developer's sensibility — for people who want to keep their daily activity in the style of a contribution graph and a terminal. Everything on screen is a custom terminal UI drawn with a monospace font and ASCII blocks.
■ Activity is automatic, records are a 'commit'
Steps, distance, calories, and floors appear automatically from Apple Health.
Attaching a type and a one-line note to a day is what Stepmit calls a 'commit'.
Committed days stack up as a log you can revisit anytime or share as a card.
■ Step contribution graph
See a month of step activity as a block heatmap. Watch it fill in and read your whole month at a glance.
■ Records, made richer
· diff — when you commit, see the change versus the same time yesterday, in green/red.
· Monthly release — a card that sums up the month's activity, like a 'git tag'.
· On this day — meet your records from 1 year, 6 months, and 1 month ago today.
· Images as block art — attach a photo to a record and, instead of the original, it's converted into 8-level block art in your current theme colors. (The original photo is never stored or transmitted.)
■ Color themes
Several terminal color themes. Switch a theme and the graph, mascot, and block art recolor together.
■ Share cards
Render a record as a terminal-style card to share or save as an image. Choose to include the hourly graph or block art, plus the diff.
■ Light, and private
· Apple Health is read-only · no server · no tracking, ads, or account
· Records sync only to your private iCloud (CloudKit)
· No background location tracking.

For developers, for tech folks, and for anyone who responds to a contribution graph and a monospace font.
