This App provides so many useful resources for current and former foster youth. One of my favorite features is GeoMaps because it shows me specific resources in my area like housing and jobs.

This app is an amazing tool for current and former foster youth. It has thousands of resources and content to help young adults navigate life. I love the learning series and geo-maps feature and how helpful it is for anyone looking for housing. It shows what options are near and how to go through the process of applying, moving in, etc. so helpful!!!

Great resource for Foster Youth in LA!
The app is so great. It has tons of resources and community support. You can ask staff questions, look at the map for resources near you, and learn new skills from the learning modules. I love the photo on the main screen and how colorful everything is. It’s so welcoming and I can’t wait to see it get even better!!

Strong resources
The Stepping Forward LA app has been a great addition for me to know and be aware of what resources are available to individuals. The Geo-Maps app is a great way to see where food pantries, reduced income housing, and even educational opportunities are. Check out the app for other great things like the Learning Series and the Mood Palette features as well!

I LOVE STEPPING FORWARD LA
This is a really great app for former and current foster youth as it does provide resources such as housing, employment, food assistance, and education. As someone who is former foster youth this app has helped me with education and employment. I recommend this app to those who are former foster youth, foster youth, and those who aged out of foster care.

Amazing Supportive App
This is a very incredible app with many people that genuinely care about you and want you to do better. This app has so many different features you are able to use for yourself all for FREE!! Which is very hard to find. You are able to use a part of the app to find jobs or even apartments as well that are for low income and you can even pick a specific area to look and it provides you with all the information you need to apply. The app also has a feature with that is called the learning series where you are able to learn about anything that can benefit you as a foster youth who ages out of the system. Even cooking, finding jobs, helping write resumes, and even personal development as well. With so much more in the app. There is to much to discuss but I absolutely love the app!

REALLY USEFUL!!

This app is incredible at providing resources that are available for foster youth. I specifically enjoyed that there are resources available when looking for homes to rent and when searching for jobs. I think that having a place such as geo maps makes it easy to navigate the job and the housing market. 😊 I also enjoy using the learning series which includes information on how to cook, know your rights information, resume building, and so much more!💛

I really like the Stepping Forward LA app and all of the features it offers. The app is easy to use, organized, and actually helpful for foster youth. My favorite feature is the Geo Maps. The Geo Maps make it so much easier to find nearby resources like housing support, food assistance, wellness services, and other programs without having to search all over the internet. As a foster youth, especially as an NMD, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out where to go for help, and this feature saves time and reduces stress by putting everything in one place based on your location.
I feel like this app should honestly be a requirement for all foster youth, especially non-minor dependents (NMDs) in the foster care system. It provides access to resources that many of us don’t even know exist, and it supports independence, stability, and self-sufficiency. Stepping Forward LA is a powerful tool that truly supports foster youth in navigating adulthood and accessing the help we deserve.

As an intern with Stepping Forward LA and a former foster youth myself, I can’t express enough how impactful this app is. The abundance and variety of resources—especially in the personal development section—are incredibly helpful and well-organized. During my internship, I was able to explore topics more deeply and even create presentations to support other users.
