Resources That Actually Help
Love the idea behind the SFLA app. It puts resources(everything from housing and jobs to education and etc) that foster youth can actually use all in one place and makes finding support feel a lot simpler.
Creative, Safe & Supportive
I really enjoy using the Mood Palette! It’s a fun and creative way to express how I’m feeling, and I love that I can express myself without feeling judged. The overall community also feels very safe, welcoming, and supportive. It’s definitely one of my favorite features of the app.

The Stepping Forward LA app is an incredible resource for current and former foster youth. It makes it easy to find opportunities, resources, and support all in one place. Good!
This app has so much potential that it should be available for youth under 18. There are so many resources I wish I had when I was still in high school. It may be a good app to replace doom scrolling with. Think of it as Instagram but for a specific community. It’s a nice space to explore new things/places, create art, read stories aloud, and hang out with community.

This app has been such an amazing opportunity to become part of a community. Being able to talk to others who have gone through exactly what I have gone through has really shown me that I’m not alone in this world and I’m thankful for the app for giving me this opportunity to connect with others.

This is an amazing app that benefits people in foster care. It has so many amazing resources that are easy to access and use. If you need a job? There’s resources to help you? Need an apartment? Resources to help you in the app! There are so many different sections that are very helpful and amazing. I love this app!!! There is also helpful videos that can help you prepare for interviews and even help make your resume better. There is so much more to say about the app. CHECK IT OUT.

This app is a great place to make community, find resources, and to network. I have found it useful for job search and connecting to others with similar backgrounds. Definitely recommend joining the app!

This app is the best for current and former foster youth! Especially if youre in need of help or searching for community!! The app also provides a wide variety of support ranging from housing and job resources to food and education! And with their geomaps, it makes it easier to find those resources closest to you! Very helpful!

Informative App for Foster Youth!!!
This app is incredible at providing resources available to foster youth. I specifically enjoyed that there are resources available when looking for homes to rent and when searching for jobs. I think that having a place such as geo maps makes it easy to navigate the job and the housing market. 😊 I also really enjoyed the learning series which includes information on how to cook, your rights as former/current foster youth information, resume building, and so much more!💛I would 100% recommend this app!

This App provides so many useful resources for current and former foster youth. One of my favorite features is GeoMaps because it shows me specific resources in my area like housing and jobs.

Great resource for Foster Youth in LA!
The app is so great. It has tons of resources and community support. You can ask staff questions, look at the map for resources near you, and learn new skills from the learning modules. I love the photo on the main screen and how colorful everything is. It’s so welcoming and I can’t wait to see it get even better!!

The Stepping Forward LA app has been a great addition for me to know and be aware of what resources are available to individuals. The Geo-Maps app is a great way to see where food pantries, reduced income housing, and even educational opportunities are. Check out the app for other great things like the Learning Series and the Mood Palette features as well!

This is a really great app for former and current foster youth as it does provide resources such as housing, employment, food assistance, and education. As someone who is former foster youth this app has helped me with education and employment. I recommend this app to those who are former foster youth, foster youth, and those who aged out of foster care.
