Could use some improvements
Would be nice if Recents album populated at the beginning of the list instead of at the end. And once you’re in the folder, it would be nice if items populated newest to oldest. Scrubbing the video didn’t show a preview as I was sliding along, and swiping frame by frame was time consuming, as the app kept spinning as it tried to load each frame. Then the app crashed when I clicked to save the photo.

Most used app
If you have lots of kids you know it's hard to take a picture of everyone smiling at the same time. I video and then grab stills and get great pics all the time! I love this app and use it almost everyday!
Awesome!
We went on a deep sea fishing trip and I took video on an iPhone when catching the fish. When we got home I wanted to get pictures from the videos. This app was awesome! I was able to capture the fish in midair during a flip and was able to capture bringing the fish over the rail. These were amazing shots that I would not have without this app! The pictures look awesome printed since it uses the same resolution the video was shot in. I did have an issue with it loading a few of the videos (would crash and close the app) but I just resent the videos to my phone and resaved them and then it was able to process. Super happy!!! Will be using this again and recommending to friends.

Does what is says perfectly!!!
Just what I was looking for. Much better than trying to stop a video precisely and then take a low-res screenshot. Plus, it's a clean, simple, well thought out interface that gets the job done without a bunch of screwing around. Exactly what an app should be!
FOR HARD TO GET SHOTS
My kids are always so active that getting the perfect shot seems next to impossible and my wife hates how many photos I take to get the right shot. There's only so many times you can tell the family to smile and look at the camera before the smiles become forced and then the photo moment is gone forever. Still Shot removes the headache from capturing the perfect moment. I take one video and choose any number from the frame-by-frame later. My wife is happy that it no longer takes a long time to take a good photo and my kids are off to play again. Now, instead of capturing one perfect moment, I capture them all. - Ben

I love this app. It has survived numerous iPhone app cleanings and is still here because it is good at what it does and easy to use. You can't go wrong with this app in your arsenal of photography apps.

Taking stills from video has always been difficult but this app makes it much easier. The stills pulled are remarkably sharp and grain can usually be reduced with another app (I use PhotoGene2). Good enough to pass on and maybe even print if kept small.
A must buy.

Cool app
Let me start with the bad. I wish you can use this app in not just landscape but also portrait mode. The worst quibble that I have is that you cannot enlarge each frame to a size that you can see people's expressions and details before saving it. That would really help out. Each frame is small enough that it's very difficult to see everything. However, it's very straightforward and seems to achieve what it was designed to do.

Perfect for Puppies
I love this app for taking pictures of my active puppies! With a camera, they're always blurry. But Snapshot makes it possible to capture that perfect frame of their adorable moments!

I often realize my camera is in video mode when I'm actually wanting to snap a photo. This app has been a lifesaver to recreate that photo op! Very user friendly, too!
Kids in action
Love this app. Some of best photo ops of my 14 month old grandson are missed because he's in motion. With this app I can video him on the go and grab the perfect shots. Looking forward to using it when trying to get a group shot. Plans are to video for 10 or 20 seconds. Out of the results 200+ frames surely that one perfect shot will be there.

Works great!
Way better than trying to do this manually by using the screen capture function. Works very well. It's super simple to use, not bloated unnecessarily with other so-so features... It gets my frames exported successfully, and then I can sharpen them or dress them up a bit in my favorite image editing app. Love it!

Love this app.
This app has made it easy to capture that perfect shot from my videos. Now I don't have to prepare myself for that perfect, action shot. Just take the video and chose the perfect still shot.
Easier to use than fast camera
When you can decide between taking a picture or a video , this is the app! It's AWSOME and saves so much time, while reducing stress.
did not work for me at all, nothing loads
The app simply does not work for me. Ninety nine percent of the frames for any video will not load. The scrubber bar at the bottom of the screen did not load the video images for reference points on half of the videos I uploaded. Basically I can whip around a lot of blank frames to about ten or twenty totally random frames, which I can save to my camera roll quickly, but I have very little control over which frames will load for viewing and which will not. Also there is a glitch that it does not always save the exact frame you are trying to capture, for instance, I saved a frame in which my eyes were open, and a second later it showed that it had captured the frame where my eyes were closed. Basically this was a waste of a dollar. Very sad. I need something that does what this app promises to, and I really wanted it to work well. Giving it a two just because I think if it worked like it promised, it would be cool. But it does not.

Love this ap
I take a lot of video of my dogs and horses. So fun to be able to isolate certain "moves" -- that I could never capture if taking a still photo. I use this ap regularly & highly recommend.
Must have app for everyone.
I take videos of my 2 year old daughter all the time. If I want to take a picture of her she makes funny faces or doesn't look at the phone. I LOVE that now it could get a picture of the precise moment when she smiles naturally in a video.
Fantastic App
This is a true five star app! Rarely do you come across an app that is perfect. If you want to make a still shot from any video, with no effort, this is the app! Each frame is numbered so you can easily go to back to a frame at any time. Now I video many situations so I can capture the perfect photo..a MUST have app.

Amazing app!
I've been looking for a app that does this. I have been unsuccessful finding one with this amount of photos and much quality they are! This is so perfect for what I need. I use it in every video I take. Thank s so much!!
Good app, but needs improvements.
I really like this app, but it needs a few features to make it useful.
1. Needs iPad comparability. This app would be more useful if you could use the full iPad screen.
2. Needs a way to slowly flip through the frames instead of relying on your finger to swipe. With long videos, your hand gets tired and searching gets tedious quickly.
3. Get rid the skeuomorphism, it takes up too much screen space that could be used for viewing frames.
4. Needs pinch zoom. You cannot zoom in on frames. You have to export the frame to your camera roll and exit the app to zoom in.

Fantastic app, except for the glitches
I've used this app since I have gotten an iPhone a few years ago. I love it. I love what it doesn't. The only problem I have noticed, is recently it has started with a few glitches. It keeps restarting ever couple of times I save a still shot.
