About
StillTabs shows five sites the user already uses (YouTube, Instagram, X, Reddit, Facebook) in a native launcher and hides their infinite feeds and short-form video. The user picks how strict: Off / Standard / Strict / Blackout.
NO DEMO ACCOUNT EXISTS (guideline 2.1(a))
StillTabs has no account system, no login and no in-app purchases, so there are no credentials to provide. The platforms inside it are websites users sign in to themselves, as in Safari. Everything StillTabs does is reachable on first launch without signing in to anything.
TO SEE IT WORK WITHOUT SIGNING IN
1. Complete onboarding.
2. Settings > Blocking Mode > Standard.
3. Tap YouTube (it loads without a login): the Shorts tab and the Shorts shelves are gone.
4. Settings > Blocking Mode > Off, reopen YouTube: they come back.
GETTING BACK TO THE LAUNCHER
Swipe right from the small indicator on the bottom-left edge. This works anywhere inside a platform, including on a sign-in screen.
Instagram, X, Facebook and Reddit may show their own sign-in wall; that's the platform, not StillTabs. Use YouTube to see the filtering without an account.
HOW IT WORKS
Filters are CSS/JavaScript applied locally in WKWebView, only changing what's drawn on the user's screen. Pages load directly from each platform; we run no proxy and never see what users browse, their credentials or cookies. Users sign in on each platform's own page.
PRIVACY
Analytics are off by default and only start after the user opts in. They are linked to a random on-device ID, never to a person, and aren't used for tracking.
PERMISSIONS
Camera/Photos/Microphone are only requested when the user taps a platform's own upload control. The App Group shares the tile list with the Home Screen widget.
