What's New in StillWatching

1.0.14

October 9, 2026

Previously on StillWatching… Season 1.0.14 picks up right where we left off. NEW THIS SEASON • Meet the director: movie pages now end with a "Directed by" rail of their full filmography. • Crew gets its own credit: directors, writers and creators stand out from the cast. • Back for another episode? A new episode of a show you'd caught up on now jumps to the top of Continue, sorted by Recent Activity. • More screen, less chrome: the tab bar tucks away as you scroll, and Discover's header slides off in landscape. • News opens straight in Reader, and in a roomy page sheet on iPad. PLOT IMPROVEMENTS • Smoother scrolling on Home. • The release calendar shows it's loading instead of a stack of grey boxes. • TBA titles now sit at the far-future end of your release-date sort. BLOOPERS, CUT • iPad widgets show their artwork again. • Swiping a rail on an episode page no longer changes the episode. • Landscape stills page cleanly, and Discover search stays put while you type. • Signing out mid-load no longer leaves the last account's releases on the calendar.

Finally, a tracker I actually want to use

I’ve tried several movie and TV tracking apps over the years, and I always ended up abandoning them because keeping everything updated felt like more work than it was worth.

StillWatching is the first one that completely changed that for me.

It’s fast, beautifully designed, incredibly clean, and somehow manages to have everything I actually need without feeling cluttered. Tracking shows, episode progress, planned/completed/on-hold lists, upcoming episodes, the calendar and discovery all feel thoughtfully put together.

Most importantly, using it doesn’t feel like maintaining a database. It actually makes me want to keep my watch history organized.

The web app is excellent too, which makes it especially useful across devices.

It’s rare to find an app that feels this polished while still staying simple, free, and ad-free. You can tell the developer genuinely cares about the experience and the little details.

Absolutely one of my favorite app discoveries in a long time. I really hope StillWatching continues to grow for years to come.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for this. It means a lot. "Doesn't feel like maintaining a database" is exactly what I'm going for, so I'm really glad it comes across. StillWatching is built and maintained by one person, and it's staying ad-free. If there's ever something you wish it did, please send it my way!

Tremendous

This app is great. I came across it in a Reddit thread and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. There are so many tv tracker apps and despite it being such a simple concept they ALL have issues. This app is what hobi and similar apps should be.

Thank you so much, glad you liked it!!
