Freezing
This app has lately been freezing with no customer service available.
No Longer Works Properly
I used to love this app. However over the past year it has been a waste of money. For several months the app stopped providing notifications from the alerts I selected. They finally fixed that issue. Now the app either does not respond at all when you touch the tabs on the screen or it responds very slowly. Most of the time the app closes while trying to use it and forces you to restart. No customer service at all. I’ve sent numerous emails to their support department and never receive a reply. It’s a shame because I really used to love their app. Will not renew. Too costly for an app that doesn’t work and a team that won’t reply to emails regarding service issues.

You're right to be frustrated, and the part that bothers us most is the emails. You wrote in more than once and nobody got back to you. That's a real failure on our side and we're sorry. The unresponsive tabs and the app closing mid-use are exactly what we're investigating right now. If you're willing to give us one more try, email support@stockalarm.io and mention this review — we'll make sure it reaches us directly instead of sitting in a queue. You were a long-time user and we'd rather earn you back than lose you quietly.
Ruined by updates
The app was a great option for tracking a number of stock alerts until they released an update which requires you to sign up for an account to be able to do anything. Uninstalled! 👎

That's fair feedback, and you're not the first to raise it. We moved to accounts so alerts fire reliably when the app isn't open and carry across devices, but that's a real change if you just wanted a quiet local tracker, and we didn't explain the reason well enough at the time. Confusing pricing
Like a lot of Apple Store apps pricing is very confusing and it is easy to think you are ordering weekly but you get charged for the whole year. I wish apple and its partners were more straightforward and showed clear easy to understand pricing before download.

Rip off app !
Couldn’t get an alert in my notifications or even a text message out of this app, 😔 so I cancelled it 8 months ago and have spent months trying to contact them to cancel my subscription, no answer. Veto this app.
Bizarrely useless
I just wanted to set an alert on one ETF. But this only offered me four stocks (none of which I care about), forced me to disclose sensitive personal info, then wanted me to sign up. Terrible, useless, does not do what label implies.
Locked out
Software logged me out, upon login it treated me as a new customer, even though 8 months left on subscription. Multiple attempts to reach customer service went unanswered.

I think the app is really good. But all I can use it for is an alarm when it hits a certain price. They have features I wanted to use like percent change and I'd like to know when it moves up 2%. And also custom trigger sounds very cool, but when it asks for what value or direction it's just a blank screen with no buttons that says select value.
Nothing works to get it to show. Not restarting, deleting and downloading, turning phone off, nothing. It wouldn't be 3 stars if they simply didn't show these options. It sucks because they show them and it's impossible for them to work, so now it's disappointing.
Just remove them as an option if they don't work because instead of alerting me it disappoints me.
Also the layout of the app could use some design. I mean it's as basic as it can get just plain white. If you cared about your app you'd spend more than 20 minutes designing it. Have some pride in your work.
Also almost no information about any of the stocks/crypto. I'd like to know the open, high, low, and close, percent change, market cap, etc... for a certain time or day but it only shows it for today.
Oh and also a really cool thing they have is the news section for that specific stock/crypto I'd really like it if ANY OF THEM ACTUALLY LOADED. I mean seriously it just loads for infinity even with great wifi. I feel like they made it and just don't care enough to fix or change anything.
Fix that stuff and you'd have an awesome app and I guarantee you'd get a ton more downloads. I would use it over coinmarketcap, coinbase, kraken, crypto.com, just because it seems so well rounded.
But it's too good to be true. It seems like they just put buttons to make it look cool but they don't have any actual function.
Summary: Really good idea, but really poor delivery and the developers seem to give one shoot about fixing issues or making the app better.🫤

Use to work good
Use to work perfectly but now it’s not sending certain notifications
Does not work for technicals
Works okay for stock price alert like any of the many free services for that but it has a lot of incorrect information on moving averages and it gives incorrect signals on technical move s like RSI levels and bollinger band breaches. Doesn’t seem to work for anything more complicated than simple stock price alerts.

Poor customer support
I missed an alert about 2 months ago, and attempted to contact customer service to make sure everything was set up properly, including with my own phone notification settings. After an initial stock response ("Everything's working on our end") 13 days ago, radio silence. No interest in helping whatsoever.

I paid for the top golf membership and all of a sudden June 11th it quit texting/calling me. Cancelled subscription.

My text message alerts quit working 6 months ago. I’ve sent multiple messages to try and get this resolved and nothing gets resolved and I’ve NEVER heard back from anyone from this company. Customer service in non existent!!!

I only just started using this app, but it’s already very helpful. I don’t have to sit at my computer and be checking the ticker constantly.
