Subscription required

Sure there’s a free trial period, but a subscription is required to use the app period. No free basic functions.

Impossible de tester avant d’acheter le produit

C’est dommage de ne pas pouvoir le tester avant l’achat. J’ai donc effacé l’application avant même de l’avoir testé.

Too bad.

Buggy and mostly ignored by its developers.

I’m nearing the end of a year subscription. It has been a disappointing year with the app and I find myself using it less and less due to bugs and a lack of any improvements.

The app has been buggy and unreliable. Examples: outright crashing, some symbols stop updating and show no data, the company info feature often returns “server error,” for some symbols the status tab returns erroneous info, some symbols will not even return a company name, in the news feature no news is returned for some large very well known companies.

Beyond this over the years subscription the app has not had any new features nor even polishing of existing features. Its development is stagnant.

Response from developer

Shoot, we are very sorry you're considering not renewing our app. We could tell you that we're sorry, and you're right that we took our eye off the ball amid all that COVID has entailed and that we had to rewrite a large part of the backend of the app when one of our external third-party partners unexpectedly left the building. But we know you probably don't care about any of that because you have choices. So, what we will tell you is that we're back with a renewed enthusiasm to make StockHop once again the app you love. We're adding some new features we think you'll like and have gone through the app to fix bugs and make sure all the existing features are working seamlessly. If you see anything that's still not working or have thoughts on new features you'd like to see, message us at stockhop@digitalbeachsoftwate.com. Parting is such sweet sorrow; we hope you give us another chance to win you back.

Have to pay money to see app

Wish I could see what the app is like without having to pay money up front

In love this app!! Just what I was looking for. Thank you!!

I like everything about this app. You can track your stocks and profit and losses. I especially like all the graphics and useful metrics and the automatic texting alerts
This rocks!!

Where’s the News?

News article for the stocks are non-existent or the most recent news article appearing is at least 90 to 120 days old. The consolidation of news article with the stock ticker symbol was the primary reason I bought the app.

just what Iv been looking for!

Definitely worth having a look at

Glad you’re enjoying the app! Thx for taking the time to drop a review.

Great Real Time Stock Tool

Watching my stocks/portfolios go up and down is dizzying, but glad I found this ap that lets me quickly see what’s going on. Love the circle graphs and news updates all in one place for a cheaper price than others I’ve tried…so far so good.

Easy Peasy

This app is really easy to use. I was able to set up my portfolios and alerts in minutes. Using several portfolios I was able to easily group my stocks in a lot of different ways. I also use the daily "Today's Winners" to find new stock ideas. Most of all I love the news. The articles from SeekingAlfa, CNBC, etc. make it easy for me to research stocks and give me good insight into the market. Great App!!

What I needed

Been using for a few weeks and have abandoned the ‘free apps’ used before. Particularly like having a main portfolio and also being able to break down by segment as well as setting up a watch list.

Great app

I was looking for an app to easily track my stocks and came across this one...easy to use, love the charts and was happy that the developers responded quickly to a question I had in setting up my portfolios.

Love StockHop!

I love this App. Played with a few other apps, but ended up here as it’s really easy to use and I set up my portfolios and alerts fast! The mini charts really help me compare my stocks. The stock news is great, it’s up to date and goes back in time many days.

Keep up the good work.

Works great

The portfolio management capabilities of this app are wonderful. I inherited a small amount of Bank of America stock back in the 70’s (ok I’m aging myself) and StockHop knew exactly how much my shares were worth back then, so now I can see how much they’ve gained. I can see their performance individually and also combined with my other stocks. The alerts are really nice too.

Best Stock Browser

No stock app is perfect. I have more than one, and StockHop is now one of them. StockHop balances ease of use with the fundamentals I want to know when looking at stocks for the first time. It lets me cull stocks I'm not interested in quickly and follow groups of stocks with a glance at a heat map. I'll gladly pay 99 cents a month for anything that saves me time, and StockHop does that.

No way to contact except thru bad review

There is no support option of there is any issue with app. Lately one of the portfolio i had not allowing me to delete the stocks in it nor add and moreover that portfolio folder is not updating with quotes. I tried deleting but it doesnt allow me to delete. Waste of money, i will be out of subscription if something is not done by end of my subscription .

Like the app, very nice but no body knows what EMA’s are being used, if they can give control on what emas to select, i will definitely cone back as the app is vert neat unlike stock charts apps out there

Must select subscription plan to start trying.

I just installed this software on my device.

As I said I am new to this site. I’m excited to see it in action, after I instal my information.

Best stock app out there! Use it daily.

I did enjoy your program before you implemented the forced subscription. It’s off my iPad today. Hope the change makes you a lot of money. Take care.

Nice while it lasted

The latest update forces you to pay for a subscription to continue using it. Sorry, guys, but that's not for me.

It is a well-designed interface and retrieves prices relatively quickly. Easy to set up and use. It has some nice options for customizing the view.

All said and done, I like the app and I realize that someone has to pay for the bandwidth and development, but one of my discount brokers offers the same visibility into my positions but I have to log in each time. I guess I can live with that.
