What's New in Stop Political Spam Texts

1.3

October 27, 2026

Clearer setup so you can tell it's actually on. A new "Still getting texts?" check tells you whether a message that got through is a setup issue or a rule gap, the home screen now leads with the one step that matters (selecting it in iOS Settings), and we spelled out what to expect: it filters unknown senders only and sorts them to Junk rather than blocking them. Stronger filtering for texts people reported still getting through: news-style political blasts, politician name-drops, pollster recruitment, and "flip [state]" fundraising asks. Official "your ballot has been received" notices from election offices now stay in your inbox.

Doesn’t Stop Political Spam text

This app literally does not do the one thing it claims to be designed to. Downloaded it and even more political spam texts are arriving and coming straight through without being filtered.

Very helpful

Followed directions on how to update settings, now all spam texts go to a hidden filter! And it’s free!
