About

A stopwatch is only half the job. Stopwatch Ultra knows who ran and what they ran — then tells you where that time stands. Built by a coach for the people actually holding the watch: track and cross country coaches, team parents, and athletes timing their own work. BEFORE THE GUN Pick the athlete and the event right on the stopwatch. When you save a time, both are stamped on automatically — the run lands in the athlete's folder, already tagged and ready to chart. Build your roster with the + button: name, age, and gender power the level grading. A REAL STOPWATCH • Big glove-friendly buttons: orange Lap, yellow Split, green Start — raised like real pushers, with a click you can feel • Stop is a pause. Start resumes. The white Reset is the deliberate act that saves the time and clears the clock — nothing saves by accident • Laps record the interval; splits record the running clock. Both live on every saved run • Swipe for the analog face: every lap starts another sweeping hand — orange, blue, green, yellow — up to four running at once • Display in seconds, hundredths, or thousandths. Times are always stored at full precision • Four backlights: green, orange, white, or dark. Distinct beeps for start, lap, and split — each with its own switch • Your timing survives anything: background the app, force-quit, even restart the phone — a running or paused clock picks up exactly where it was READ THE RACE Four charts, with the numbers coaches actually use: • Progress — day-best times over the season for any event or athlete, with PB line and trend • Laps — best lap, mean, consistency (σ and CV%), and fade from first lap to last • Pacing — every segment against even pace, with a negative/positive split verdict • Level — the athlete's best time placed against real national-championship fields on a four-band scale — Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite — with the exact threshold times for their age group and gender, and how many seconds to the next band Level bands are anchored to actual USATF National Championship results, youth divisions and the adult open meet alike: Elite runs with the front of the national field, and Novice means slower than the slowest national qualifier. Placement for training times, not records. THE LOG IS THE NOTEBOOK • A folder per run, grouped by day, holding its laps and splits • Athlete and event chips on every time; long-press to label a run ("Heat 2 – Lane 4") • Multi-select to retag, reassign, or delete • One-tap CSV export — a pivot-ready table with athlete, event, and 3-decimal seconds for Numbers, Excel, or Sheets • Deleting times never deletes your athletes EVERY EVENT ON THE PROGRAM Sprints, middle and long distance, hurdles, relays, and race walking — from 50 meters to 10,000, ready to tag. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION No accounts. No ads. No analytics. No network calls at all. Every time, every athlete, every chart lives on your phone and nowhere else — the only thing that ever leaves is a CSV you share yourself. Requires iOS 18. Made for iPhone.
