Wish the radar had base velocity. The ad when opening the app takes a long time to close too. Everything else is great.

This app is a very helpful weather app one of the most accurate I have seen. They are always the first to let me know when severe weather hits even before the national weather service! I have trusted this news/weather channel for quite some time and they are on of the best I would totally recommend this app and news channel!

Can you add a no ad option??
Love the meteorologists at KWWL and love the app with the exception of the ads. Can you do a no ad option? I’d be willing to pay a fee to get all the great info without the constant ads.

this app is the best to keep track of whatever storms or other kinds of weather events that will occur within the area of where I am. I recommend downloading this app and keep it in your home browser. It’s very worth it.
Mostly Unusable - June 2025
Offers a great “AD Experience” but poor “Radar Viewing Experience” If you like how it operated like back in 2024, “KCRG Weather” (ABC - Channel 9 out of Cedar Rapids) is most likely the old Storm Track 7 app. So far I’ve only seen the splash screen AD and identical User Interface and functionality.

Radar woes
Noticed during the past several months the radar map has been inaccurate. This one shows no precipitation near us but other apps do. This app has lost some trust
What happened?!
This used to be my “go to” weather app, but something changed. There are so many pop up ads now that I can’t even maneuver the app. An ad will pop up and the “x” is so far to the top of the screen that I can’t click it and it stalls and freezes on the ad. The radar now takes me to a webpage that never loads. The alerts also don’t let me read the full alert without taking me to a website article instead of solely on the app like it used to. I hope it can go back to how it used to be. I am having to use a different weather app just because it’s so frustrating.

Too many ads, especially when you need to find storm updates quickly. Also not easy to find what you are looking for
Ads every 4 seconds
An ad pops up every 4 to 10 seconds. Then you have to wait to X out of it. It makes the app almost impossible to use.
Storm track 7 team
StormTrack7 team are the only ones I watch and they are the only ones that I trust to give me a good call and a good understanding of what my day is gonna be like if there’s a storm coming, they always let me know in advance and they’re always there with me through the whole thing. I really appreciate them.

Getting rid of local weather team…why have app?
We won’t be able to count on this app since corporate is eliminating our local weather team…it’s wild when weather patterns are getting more and more unpredictable. Having a good weather team is vital for the health and safety of every community.

Now that allen media is replacing our local weather with the national weather channel, I will no longer support this app or the television station
