When this app first started it included most of the features that you pay for today. It was much better than everything out there but is no better than anything else that’s free. Sad that selling ads isn’t enough

no longer reliable
i have been a Storm user from its earliest versions; pre Weather Channel owned to date. this last version is the worst evolution yet. i care about acurate casting. the previous version was at least reliable. this new version is wish-washy. it is barely accurate to 15 min.
i have spent years on the road. weather conditions are important knowledge. i wouldn't rely on this app any longer.

Loop Slider WTH?
The past portion of the loop slider now occupies only about 5% of the scale. Meanwhile, the other 95% goes WAY past any semblance of accuracy. It’s totally backwards! The future portion of the radar loop has no useful accuracy past about two hours. Why dedicate so much of the functionality to forecast RADAR loop time that has so little useful data?

Something happened
This was my very favorite weather app but recently one of the best features, in my opinion, stopped working. I really loved the color-coded intensity bar on the timeline (green/yellow/red) at the bottom that quickly showed how heavy the incoming rain would be. That feature has stopped working for me. The colors no longer appear on the slider and I miss it a lot. Please bring it back! It was one of the most useful parts of the app.

Too many popups and ads now
This used to be my go-to app for seeing weather coming into my area. They ruined it with the amount of popups so I’m using another app now.

1 star – “My backyard rock is a more reliable meteorologist”
I downloaded this radar app expecting useful precipitation maps, storm tracking, and a vague idea of whether I should grab an umbrella. What I got instead is a digital weather rock that somehow manages to be worse than an actual weather rock.
A classic weather rock sits outside, gets wet when it rains, stays dry when it doesn’t, and never once claims a “70% chance of sunshine” while I’m standing in a downpour. This app, on the other hand, will cheerfully show clear skies while the sky is actively dumping water on my head. It will draw a perfect green blob of rain two counties away from the actual storm. It will confidently declare “no precipitation expected” right as the first fat drops hit the window. At least the rock has the decency to be correct about the present moment.
Forecast accuracy is somehow even more impressive. The app’s future outlook has the predictive power of a Magic 8-Ball that only answers “Ask again later.” I’ve watched it promise a sunny afternoon while the sky turned the color of a bruise and the wind started throwing lawn furniture. Meanwhile the rock just sits there, quietly being wet or dry as required. No push notifications. No “severe weather alert” for a light mist three towns over. No animated radar that looks like modern art and has approximately the same relationship to reality.
The interface is polished, the animations are smooth, and the color scale is pretty. None of that matters when the product is fundamentally allergic to the actual atmosphere. I’ve started checking the rock before I check the app. If the rock is wet, I stay inside. If the rock is dry, I go outside. If the rock has been knocked over by wind, I assume it’s windy. Revolutionary system. Zero lag. 100% local data.
Save your money, your data, and your dignity. Buy a rock. Or just look out the window. Either option will outperform this app at both forecasting the weather and telling you what’s happening right now outside your own house.

Difficult to navigate
I’m not sure why the changes were made to the other app, I hate this one and rarely use it now. Very difficult to navigate.
