A perfect thing

I’ve used this app for over a decade now and it is nearly perfect. I hope it keeps being supported. There’s nothing like it for me.

Over a decade and still my favorite writing app

I’m bad at making spreadsheets and don’t like them much in general so this app has been a life saver for me for nearly the entirety of my writing career. The only thing I wish it has was separate sold and published dates.

Simple and works great 😊

I love the simplicity of being able to track your story submissions on this app. Everything is linked. I love being able to see an overview of stats of all my submissions. I do wish there was an overview of stats on the story level so you can see how many markets that story has been submitted to and same for markets. That way you have the ability to track how many stories you’ve submitted to one market.
I wish there was a little more flexibility to add fields and to do multiple selections on drop down fields, such as genre, or having the ability to add different pay rates for the same market. Still a good little app. Thanks for creating it! 😊

Good app but needs dark mode

I just bought this app, and so far I like it. But I noticed that it’s a bit grating to see it at night. A dark mode would be great.

Also, it would be neat if it came with a prepopulated database of markets. Perhaps a deal with Writer’s Market or some other publication like that? It would be most helpful.

I use this regularly

Love this app. Have been using for some time and I use it regularly. I've published a lot of short stories in magazines - and this app has helped me to do by KEEPING TRACK OF THEM 😎

❤️ it ! I'd go crazy keeping track of submissions otherwise.

Not Being Updated, Doesn’t Sync

This app works okay, has an old-style interface, but can’t sync to other devices and hasn’t been updated in a long time — and those only minor. Looks like it’s gone.

Well done

Exactly what I was looking for. One small suggestion: a check box to indicate whether a market accepts simultaneous submissions.

Early Review

Began using the app two or three weeks ago. Makes building a database of potential markets easy. With a glance, one can refresh one's memory of where work is going (don't know yet about submittal history). There seems to be room on the top page to put a few critical notes about the market, such as reading period for lit mags or how to contact any market. Some glitches (can't clear a red entry. Don't know what it's for).

Very Helpful!

This is a great app, an excellent way of keeping track of submissions and sales.

There are two small things I don't like: there is no way to mark a story as a work in progress (it's either 'ready' or 'trunked', and the default setting for receiving a response is 'rejected', which is kind of a downer.

Works good

Does what it's supposed to do and does it well. If only it had could support or, dream of dreams, synced with The Submissions Grinder

Absolute Lifesaver

As a creative writer and a graduate student, this app really helps me keep track of essays and critical work that I have sent out without having to pay a monthly subscription fee for services like Duotrope. The only thing that would make this app even better would be the ability to link with Submittable, so that submissions through Submittable were automatically logged in this app.

Awesome

Setting up my new iPad, this is one of the first apps I'm loading. I write books, freelance articles and a bit of poetry. This app's full version is just awesome for tracking queries, submissions, acceptances/rejections, follow-up dates, deadlines, amounts paid, etc. I can sort by categories, track individual markets, deadlines, etc. Highly recommended for pro writers.

I only took one star because I'm not very pleased with the backup. For some reason, mine didn't work, but that might, just might have been due to me doing something wrong.

Good app. Weak sorting.

I've been using this app for almost a year now and it's quite helpful. Works well, never crashes, easy to use. My one complaint is the inability to sort by responses. I've received several rejections and would like to be able to separate them from responses that are still waiting. Right now, everything is listed chronologically. I can delete responses, but I need to archive them for re-submission purposes. It would be perfect if we could have more sorting options: view only rejected, view only waiting, etc.

Fantastic app

This app has made it so easy to keep track of everything I need to remember regarding my submissions. I love it! Thank you!

Perfect for Authors

I tested out this app for free for a couple of days, just to make sure that I really liked it. I ended up loving it and bought it. This app is perfect for keeping track of all of the submissions, publishing dates, and marketing houses that I would otherwise have a hard time keeping records myself. I looked at the $8.99 and considered it to be a big price for such an app but it's well worth it to keep from missing a deadline. Another excellent writing app is called Kingsoft. You can actually write your stories on the go and synch with your computer Word document later on.

Awesome

This is the only app that does this and only this for writers. If you're pulling your hair out with spreadsheets, this is more than worth the money. Five stars on the way when synching between devices and/or a little more customization are possible.

Very useful app!

I just purchased this app, and I love it! It's very easy to use and is very helpful for keeping track of my poetry and story submissions. There were a couple minor feature suggestions I had for future versions of this program, and the program developer was very quick to respond to my e-mail. Overall, this program is much better than the makeshift organizational system I was using on my computer before, and I highly recommend it.

The closets solution to perfect

What a great and initiative app! This is the closest thing to keeping me on track. While I would love it more if it actually calculated my word count as I wrote, short of thy the developers actually listen and make adjustments. A bit expensive, but well worth it to me in the long run.

Brilliant App!

Story Tracker is a joy to use. Highly recommended for writers seeking an easy way to keep track of submissions.

Kudos to the developer

I read the feedback on this app an took a chance on it. For $7.99 it's a great little tool! As a writer looking to submit stories to multiple venues this tool is a godsend that gives me a fighting chance at boosting my ROI for the works I create. Additionally, the developer took the feedback and added many of the features that users asked for including the password protection feature and advanced sorting. If only every developer was so committed to a solid product support motto.
