Rip-off. A lot of $$$; not a lot of functionality

Comes with 1 female silhouette, 1 male silhouette, 0 backgrounds, and some real basic director’s marks and arrows. Everything else is a paid upgrade. Each character is $2.99. Bundles range from $9 to $50. Wanna print? That’s a $10 upgrade.

You can not create characters. You can not create props. You can not draw on the storyboard. You can not create a cast or a set of locations.

When you zoom in, only one element zooms at a time. e.g. the background or a character.

If you color a character or element you have to use the color picker every time. This means every one is a little different color.

Just bad

I have never written a review for an but this one was so bad I felt compelled to. It's antiquated and practically feels like a cash grab. It's as if it were made for a different platform entirely. Not intuitive, and hampers creativity which is the worst thing a piece of software like should do.

Terrible, overpriced app

I wish I could undo this purchase. Might be worthwhile for $1.99, for a kid making his or her first iMovie, but not Not NOT a tool for real film makers. Useless and worthless, do not buy.

Not worth the money, very disappointed

You can't rotate arrows, so you are stuck with the direction they point, which is very limited. Characters are limited. No objects. Bascially, you use a background from your camera roll, you place actors and arrows, that's it, that is all there is to this. I can do this in several non-storyboard apps. This app offers nothing I can find to justify the price. I can't even export as a QT movie! Can't remove panels, confusing interface, no user manual available.

Upload to the cloud, and then try to figure out "where" you're supposed to go on line to punch in the access code to see it. There's no mention of how this works anywhere. No user manual. No tutorial videos. No support at all what so ever. Red flag for me.

I wonder why this app isn't listed on their web site, and why there's so few reviews of it.

All in all, I just don't get what this does that's worth $20 for an iPad app? It's so limited, as a professional who does storyboards on the go daily, this is 100% useless. Maybe amateurs who don't do this for a living will get sucked in to thinking this is a "real" storyboard app, but the truth is, it's a rip off.

Sensational Filmmaking Production Tool!

Having worked with the incredible Storyboard Artist Studio Mac version for years, it was like Christmas time when this iPad app hit my new iPad's screen. It's phenomenal on the Retina screen! Ease of use - it couldn't be easier - upload to the Cloud or camera roll, instant playback with no stutters, all the features in the description are accurate - you can fully manipulate the size of background pix, included male and female figures and position in any direction and size with a swipe or a pinch - quick, fast, accurate and fun -- what more could we ask for?! Ties in with the Mac version and gives some of the feature films we're working on the opportunity to keep working wherever we are - get approvals and make changes as they're being spoken - A++++++!! Thanks for a GREAT PROGRAM - the new additions and iPad / iPhone support with SAS [Storyboard Artist Shot Assistant] and all the other goodies - FANTASTIC! Ties in to become the a superior system for boards with Final Cut Pro X and 7 along with the blow-your-mind Martini program from the PowerProduction folks - all I can say is thanks and thanks and - you get the idea :) !!!!
