Disappointed
I am an SLP in an urban school. I was using this app today and realized with much dismay that there are NO people of color in any of the pictures. The same is true in your Story Builder app which has cartoon drawings. This just downgraded my opinion of the appropriateness of this activity for my students.

Creative thinking help!
This app is really good for getting children to think outside the box and complete thoughts. It is especially good for children who have autism/Asperger's

As an elementary school English as a second language teacher, I am making great use of Story Builder. I use it in the setting where the students are guided through a series of open ended questions supported by colorful pictures that evoke a story. Students record their answers. What comes out is a recording of the student telling a story that can be archived as a language sample and used to inform my instruction. Very cool software!

Love it! great app!! It has done wonders for my two kids. One thing though...how about a French or Spanish version? I, for one, would jump at the opportunity to use that same approach to improve my kids' French!

Great paragraph writing tool!
This is a great tool! My daughter loves telling stories but struggles with putting it all together: writing them in pararaph form. Book reports are a struggle. I know that as we work more with this app, she'll learn this skill in no time. She has receptive language delay and auditory processing disorder. Hearing the story in her own voice is amazing. It's a great tool to help young children learn how to put multiple sentences together to form their own story. And this app is so affordable, which makes it all the more wonderful! Thank you!

Love it!
I love this app! There are so many possiblilities with it. Stories can be easily created by students who have difficulty writing or who are just learning what it takes to write a story. I used this with my sped class and will be using it with my kindergarten kids this year! It is important for kids to be able to tell a story before they physically can write one..

Great
This app allows you to choose 3 difficulty levels and the child can use their own voice to record the answer. It will show a picture and you answer "what are they doing" or "what were they doing before the picture". Because you only record an answer and there isnt necessarily a right or wrong answer I believe parent or teacher participation would be most beneficial.

Another great "builder" app!
Our SLP suggested the "builder" series and they have been great for our 6 yr old who has some struggles with writing. This app is engaging and can keep his interest longer than most of his LA workbooks. When he has had it with his 1st grade workbooks, I can always get him to work on the iPad for a little while longer. Thank you!

Simply spectacular
You have an awesome idea here and each time you come out with a new app you make it better. The idea of letting the child record their voice and play it back cements the structure of the sentences in their heads and yet does this in a fun and easy way so they don't lose interest. I've seen a lot of apps but i have to say yours just hit the top for me. Thank you. My children and the neighborhood children i'm helping with homework love your apps.

Story Builder Builds Confidence
I really was impressed with Story Builder because it allows the kids to create a story and record it in their own words. Mine really loved hearing themselves. It's an excellent tool for teaching paragraph structure and freedom in using adjectives to make the story more interesting. It's a wonderful supplement for creative writing. Feed that brain and the confidence, and you will see your kiddos shine. :)

Great app!!
I can't say enough positive things about the apps from Mobile Education Store. The tutorials guide you through the app step by step with clear directions on how to use the app. The pictures are clear and uncluttered. The option to repeat the question is great for children who need wait time for extra processing time. Parents of young children or nonverbal children can record their voices which will encourage speech. Another great app for all ages!!!

Amazing!
I thoroughly enjoyed this app! My son is nonverbal so I told the story for him. I love how suggestions are made to allow the player use their imagination to tell their own story. I believe being able to hear their voice tell the story is reinforcement for continued play. Very well worth the price and I highly recommend!

Another great app
As with all the Builder apps, it is versatile enough to be useful to a wide developmental range. I plan on using it with both my typically developing 2nd grader, and my kindergartener with language delays. I expect it will be useful for quite a while!
Essential
We have 2 kids on the spectrum, both with very different needs and we are HUGE fans of Mobile Education Store Apps. This one helps a child develop their imaginative story telling skills, their abstract thoughts and their sentence/story structure. Excellent for my 5 year old who struggles with putting his thoughts together into words at times. If you have a use for an app like this, this is well worth your investment. Great for SLP's and teachers as well.

Excellent educational tool!
This app is exceptionally easy to use. It can easily be adjusted for various user needs. I like the way it builds on its self naturally guiding the user into proper paragraph format. Love the recording capability as it helps students to hear if they are putting the sentence together the way they think they are. This also can be used for several users to work together to create a story. For those with speech difficulties it can be helpful for them to hear sentences as they speak them. Easy to use, fully adjustable and a proven formula for learning make this a must have app! Would give it 7 stars if I could!

Story telling/re-telling is an issue for my son. This app works on it skill in a fun way. He loves the pictures and it gets his mind going. Another great app from mobile education!
