pros and cons to app

pros: I liked that it would sync across devices. Ad-free. One time fee isn't exorbitant. Easy to use. con: For activities that aren't daily, must specify which day of the week it should take place. The problem is that I have some goals that are x number of times per week, not day-specific. I didn't see a workaround, so uninstalled. A pity, as the app looked like it had promise.

Dev took away previously free functionality, but whatever. I paid. But now it’s filled with bugs

Dev took away previously free functionality.

Was not happy but I paid anyway because it was cheaper than similar apps.
However it’s filled with bugs.

Habits I make don’t save. When I close the app and come back I see than multiple habits I made are just gone.

One habit I’m trying to make, I turn off the repeat daily option but when I go back to it, it’s still there. I repeated this 5 times, and it’s still there every time. It’s a bug for sure. Let’s see if the dev does anything about it.

Bugs

App doesn’t seem to get updated very often. I can see bugs, including one where on the mac version after I resize the sidebar, it resets once I close and reopen the app. Kind of annoying!

Everything I’ve been looking for.

I’d been looking for a while - tried many alternatives. Fantastic. Surprised it’s doesn’t have more reviews. Everything I’ve been looking for.

Finally found what I was looking for

I’ve used many task and habit tracking apps, but this one was exactly what I wanted

Previously free, now locked behind paywall. Poor communication

My recent encounter with Streakly has left me utterly disillusioned and disheartened. What initially seemed like a promising habit-tracking solution quickly devolved into a saga of poor communication, arbitrary paywalls, and fundamental functionality flaws.

The most glaring issue that stains Streakly's reputation is its developers' alarming disregard for transparent communication. Suddenly locking away features that were once freely accessible behind a paywall is not just an inconvenience; it's a breach of trust. How can users be expected to invest in premium features when there's a lingering fear that even those may be snatched away without warning?

Other than that, its also lacking a few areas that I would have looked past form in the past but given their behavior, it add insult ot injury.
1) iphone / mac sync doesn't work.
2) habits can't have different colors to visuallly differentiate them
3) settings area is a joke. There is basicaly no settings area where all settings including pricing can be managed at. Pricing will only pop up when you hit a limit
4) Not relaly free anymore with the arbitrary limits
5) limits make this app infurior to Everyday Habit tracker. At the very limited state, everyday habit tracker can be a more attractive option.

Simple UI with exactly what I need

Streakly has a minimalist style UI that allows me to create habits and log whether I do this habit on the calendar.

Free and Better than paid Everyday app

Someone reviewed this poorly because they must have been having a bad day. I don’t usually review but this is a very good app. And I felt I should counter the reviewer with poor judgement.

I’m a particular huge fan because of the free price point. But i tried it out on desktop and found it to be more feature rich than a similar designed paid app.
With this app you can organize by routine. That’s nice.

Features I might like in the future are:
- gradients of color when you progress on a habit. I see this is used for percentages of quantifiable habits but it could be nice just to have a gradient of colors with the more days in a row you complete.
- fine tuning certain other areas to give it a bit more polish.

Forcing suggestions

Stop forcing your suggestions on people! I neither want nor need them. Deleting just for that alone. Zero stars.

Features missing, subscription only

Disciplina has potential, but is missing basic functionality such as "do this every N days" and "do this on the Nth day of every/the month or specific month(s.)

In addition, it is subscription-only, so it will be a constant drain on finances.

Cannot recommend due to these serious problems.

App store problem: Apple should tag apps that are subscription; "in-app purchases" could mean "buy the app after trying" (perfectly reasonable) or "subscription", which is an outright anti-user travesty for the vast majority of all applications types. I'd like to know if an app is subscription before wasting time downloading it only to find the proper install location is the trash can.
