StreamLine turns your iPhone into a Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM30) receiver for the medium wave and shortwave bands. DRM is the open ITU standard for digital broadcasting on the bands that carry across continents. A single DRM30 transmission carries clear digital audio plus the data that travels with it - station text, slideshow images, Journaline text pages and broadcast web pages. StreamLine decodes all of it and presents it on one screen. WHERE THE SIGNAL COMES FROM - N88-BT receiver over Bluetooth. Connect the receiver, set the frequency, and listen live. Fine tuning, signal strength readout and demodulation mode are all in the app. - Wi-Fi Share. One device receives and passes the same broadcast to others on the same network, so a single antenna can serve a room. - Recorded files. Open a .dcp recording and play it back exactly as received. WHAT YOU GET WHILE LISTENING - Station name, audio format and the live text message from the broadcaster - Slideshow images sent alongside the audio - Journaline - text news pages you can tap through, with home and back - Broadcast websites sent over the air - Files received during the session, kept in a list you can open at any time - Background playback, so listening continues with the screen off RECORDING Save what you receive as a .dcp file and play it again later. A capture-only mode records without decoding when you only want to keep the broadcast. A sample recording is included, so you can see how the app works before you have a receiver. WHAT YOU NEED Live reception needs a DRM30 receiver connected over Bluetooth (N88-BT) and an antenna suited to the medium wave and shortwave bands. Without a receiver you can still play recordings and receive over Wi-Fi Share from a device that has one.
