September 20, 2016

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. This is a major overhaul of the Streams™ app for iOS! Important note: accounts created with the previous version have been migrated to the maximum extent possible, but for the best experience, we encourage you to create a new account using this version of the app. New features: -Migrated to a new, more robust Streams™ server (previous versions of the app are now deprecated) -Enhanced UI resolution for iOS 9 and iOS 10 -New swipe options (archive, favorite, share) -New option to receive notifications for high-priority incoming Streams -Added new settings to improve the News Stream experience -Ability to 'Favorite' Streams for storage in a new pane and offline viewing -All Bluetooth code has been refactored in preparation for a forthcoming update.

Another swing and miss

I was so optimistic when this update came out today... since I have never been able to get my Glowdeck to work properly. Unfortunately, Streams still seems extremely buggy. Upon logging in and going to settings, it shows "Justin's phone" for calls and messages (I am not Justin) and the weather for Seattle. I have tried to change these and it just tells me "modifying is not supported in this build". When I try to update the weather, it simply gives me an error stating "error updating settings". When I go into app setting to view my profile, the app crashes immediately. To remedy, I thought I would try to update the Glowdeck firmware, but when clicked, nothing happens. Oh well. Looks like I avoid using this app again and the Glowdeck is a brick on my nightstand that is only used to charge my phone. Bummed out. Ugh.

Waste of a purchase

Not only was the glowdeck a waste of a purchase but this app was also a waste. I can no longer even open the app, when I try to open it and just bugs out and shuts down. It was a good idea to combine common social media apps into one app, it's just too bad they couldn't execute on it. My advice is don't buy this app or the glowdeck they sell along with it. One of the worst purchases I've ever made.
