Why did I spend my money on you? There's no skill here. I have an iPhone 5S. Fix please, fix everything. I'm saying this because the graphics look too kool for school, but the combat is all weird. I'll rate this game better if you fix the combat.
Terrible
I should have believed the previous review but I purchased this anyway. This could have been decent but it's a long way off. Here are my complaints:
* To use the controls you are obscuring the view of your fighter.
* There is no explanation of the controls
* I seemed to be completely unable to land any hits on my opponent
* Despite paying for the game there are still adverts in it
* The sound and music options do not seem to offer any feedback.
* When I played my second game, I started on round 2!?!
If the above issues were fixed then it could be better but, for now, avoid this.

Do not buy
There are better karate apps on the App Store, like ZANSHIN. There are better fighting game apps as well, like Street Fighter 4 Volt. Please do not buy this app, you will most likely regret it.
Disappointing
This look and sounds like it should be an implementation of something like International Karate + from the good old days.
It looks the part, but unfortunately the gameplay is slow and sluggish, awkward, and not very intuitive.
The fights don't seem to flow - in IK+ you would move in a seamless transition of moves, but here it just doesn't seem to work. Maybe it would be easier with a joystick?
Thumbs up to the developer for getting it this far, but please give it a bit more polish (gameplay-wise, not graphics); there are features mentioned in the blurb that are 'coming soon', but were mentioned ages ago, seemingly without any update or subsequent changes. Get the basics nailed, and the rest - multiplayer, etc - is almost unnecessary...

Needs an update for it to load. It always crashes when it is at about 57 or 64% loaded.

Just like International Karate for the C64. A little tricky to get used to the controls, but it has great potential! Very cool! Looking forward to more updates :)
