Great so far but the odd annoying bug on training mode.
Really enjoying the game but basic training 7/8. The hints tell you you don’t need to discard defence as u may need it later then every character proceed to force you to discard defence so you don’t have enough to deal with the final attack. Would be great if you could look at this. Happy to change my review.

Real Good
My only gripe as a newcomer. Never having played this game until now… The threat area?? The current implementation is confusing.
The empty space, around your character is the threat area. Took me AWHILE to grasp this concept, because it’s just empty space by your character card.
I feel it would be better… if some kind of visual existed making us aware, the cards we put down, go into this ‘invisible’ threat area.
Maybe transparent words with truncated horizontal lines like this:

⬆️ From a UI design perspective, If it’s semi-transparent, it will not produce visual noise, avoiding visual clutter.
That said, this is a FANTASTIC game. I’m loving it! I HIGHLY appreciate all the modes - so much diversity and honing of skills:

Fantastic app of the board game!
Streets Masters is a fantastic board game the mimics the feel of old school beat ‘em ups like streets of rage mixed with fighting games like street fighter. Each fighter, stage, and boss is completely unique and can all be mixed and matched for an endless variety of match ups.
If you’re looking for a great tactical turn based game with endless variety, this is it!
The app does a great job of replicating the full board game and comes with a ton of content. Having played the board game I was able to pick up and play without any need to use a tutorial and everything was very intuitive.
A few small minor improvements that could make it even better: make it clearer when you are discarding defence tokens by having two rows of defence symbols, one displaying what you currently have, and another with what you’ve selected to discard. I would also add a + and - button by each defence symbol that you’re discarding that can be used to toggle how many you wish to discard.

Blacklist games hit it out of the park
I should review this a 1 star souly because I backed the Kickstarter going all in and you guys just made that obsolete! Unreal game and a top adaptation that I can now carry with me! Top stuff! Could use more updates with more characters! Chan chan was my personal favourite!!

Fantastic Adaptation!!
If you like Street Masters, this is a must have. Especially if you’re on the go. I use an iPad so not quite sure how it would go on a smaller screen. A lot of text and little details but the game runs most of it for you anyway. That said, this is a fantastic adaptation of a fantastic board game!
Super game
This is my first foray into blacklist games and I was not disappointed although it took me a while to get the gist of how to play properly. Word of advice: pick Natalia or Ying-hua as you’re learning. They’re much more forgiving and both have awesome knockout moves that the other fighters don’t have. I hope blacklist games continues developing this line further although I’d love to play any of their other board game iOS adaptations!

From table to tablet seamlessly!
I am a big fan of the Street Masters board game, so seeing it make a successful transition to a portable format warms my heart. Tested it out (after playing 50 + games with the board game version). The only thing missing is the setup time.
Street fighting days
Excellent turn based action, using both cards and dice, plenty of tactical depth and plenty of fun. Rules can be a little tricky at first but there’s a solid tutorial and a lot of content to play.

Can’t Play
Played the tutorial, now everything but the training missions are locked, every character, every stage, every boss. Tried reinstalling the app and still nothing. Game looked fun in the tutorial, and I will happily change my review once someone makes it actually playable for me.

I have the board game. This a great adaptation. They even included story mode...what else do you want?

I do not own the board game but knew about this game. This game is impressive but be prepared to put some time into it (like any good board game) to learn the ropes. The tutorial is fine, but read the rulebook and watch some YouTube videos to get up to speed. The game has a nice flow and is easy to grasp, but there is still a great deal to learn.
Love the card art and the various fighters. They each play differently which enhances replayability. I have beaten the 1st stage and boss but nothing else. lol. Still learning the cards and strategy.
I would definitely recommend this game if you enjoy strategy games or solo board games. It has a lot to offer for the price.

Worth every penny.
Buggy
Looks great and it seems to be a faithful translation of the board game, but definitely has some bugs. When I use defense tokens to block damage, it doesn’t convert them into Power tokens, it just discards them. If you pinch and zoom to maximize the gameboard, there’s no way to minimize it again. You have to restart the game because your newly expanded board is now blocking half the cards.
Hopefully a few patches can help sort things out, as there is definitely potential here.

Just Like Playing The Board Game
This app is worth it. It feels just like the board game.
Because it’s so fast and efficient, it’s a perfect way to test out fighters and strategies before breaking out the actual board game. I have all of the Street Masters board game content and extras, and I hope to see the app expanded as well.
