About
Streeter is for getting around a city in the fabric of it: on a bike, on foot, on a train, or all three.
Ask for a way somewhere and it tells you what the route does in plain words: "Skips Gravois Ave", "Crosses Grand Blvd at a light", "Steep climb on Russell Blvd, 8%". The busy stretches that are left are marked on the map, so nothing is a surprise on the way.
Routes that say what they skip:
Four kinds of route for each trip: Safer, Direct, Explore, and Scofflaw for riders who know what they're doing. Each one lists the busy streets it avoids and the crossings it can't, with or without a light.
Walks worth taking:
Chill and Explore walks say what they go through: the parks they cross, and the streets with places to eat, bars and shops along them. Explore says how much longer it is than the direct way, so you know what the detour is for.
Bike, walk and transit together:
Trips can mix a ride or a walk with trains and buses, in each line's own colors, with the next departures. Share bike docks show how many bikes are there right now.
Turn by turn, or just the line:
Navigation follows you on the map. Pick Turns for spoken directions, or Line to see the route and your dot and nothing else. Heads-ups from other riders, such as a pothole or a closed path, come up as you get close.
Draw your own routes:
Tap or draw a line on the map and it follows real streets and paths. Add stops with notes and times, save it, and share it as a link. No account needed.
Local spots and landmarks:
Places riders have posted, and art, history and views from open map data, near you and along the way.
Sharing where you are:
Share where you are with friends or a group ride for as long as you choose, and stop any time.
The map, your way:
Bike lanes and paths, traffic lights and rail lines, with a key that says what each one means. Overlays show which neighborhoods are lively, across a whole city, how steep each block is, which streets are lit at night, and the areas you can reach in 10, 20 or 30 minutes.
Routes come from our own routing engine and OpenStreetMap, which can be wrong. If something's off, report it from the map.

What's New in Streeter
1.0.3
October 27, 2026
Made for iPhone Duo, folded or open: open, the map sits beside the panel. A new Day look, and the other looks brought up to match. A key on the map says what its lines and places mean. The Map panel opens over the map, so each change shows as you make it. A bike route's breakdown now counts paths and protected lanes in green, and downtowns are calmer zoomed out.
